I don’t know if schools feel intimidated by the NCAA, but if I were part of a program which receives word that Yahoo! Sports is sniffing around, I’d sure get the willies.
This doesn’t sound too good:
Embattled scouting service owner Will Lyles told Yahoo! Sports that University of Oregon coach Chip Kelly personally approved a controversial $25,000 fee that sparked an ongoing NCAA investigation and was in constant contact as Lyles provided the Ducks with recruiting assistance that may have violated NCAA rules.
In a wide-ranging, multi-day interview, Lyles said Kelly “scrambled” in late February and asked Lyles to submit retroactive player profiles to justify the $25,000 payment to his company, just days before the transaction was revealed in a March 3 Yahoo! Sports report.
No, not good at all.
The NCAA should just get it over with and give Yahoo! Sports the power to sanction programs for the wrong doing they find. It’s not like the NCAA gives a damn about uncovering this garbage themselves.

“Thanks for orchestrating everything and all your help with these guys. I hope you enjoyed the game … Go Ducks! – Chip Kelly”
This season Chip will change the sign off on his last writes thank-you notes from Go Ducks! to
“…Duck! – Chip Kelly”
Thereafter, Chip may be planning to spend more time with his family if the COI does not accept the answer, “Well, that explains his slow 40 time!” in response to, “One of the kids is dead,” Lyles said. “I didn’t know he was dead.”

So what! Nuttin’ happened to Awburn. If the NC double A wants to try to do somethin’ to da Ducks we’ll just stonewall like Awburn did ’til it passes.

The difference is that Yahoo! hasn’t written anything about Auburn yet. 😉

UGA will have to suspend one of it’s players for this.
Not sure how, but that will be the ultimate outcome.

LSU will lose to Oregon, then we will beat LSU in the SECCG 34-13, but LSU will go the the BCS MNC game after Oregon has to forfeit their win vs LSU on Sept 3 and the voters reward them for that win despite finishing second to UGA in the SEC.
Count on it!

best part about the story was lyles talking about how none of this came up w/ the ncaa b/c they didn’t ask. that is infuriating and/or hilarious. i know the ncaa is an easy target, but come on. that is just ridiculous.
