Geez, preseason practice hasn’t even started and some of the great unwashed are already at each other’s throats (h/t cbssports.com).
… According to KENS, a San Antonio TV station, two men started fighting over college football and the fight escalated into a knife fight.
Police were called to a San Antonio Applebee’s where the Sooner fan and Longhorn fan were arguing and fighting. The argument escalated and the Oklahoma fan pulled a knife and attacked the Texas fan.
Both men were stabbed in the fight and were taken to University Hospital in San Antonio. The OU fan was listed in critical condition while the Texas fan was stable.
Maybe they were arguing about the Longhorn Network.
That’s why I carry a gun as a Dawg fan. In case a knife fight breaks out….

That is the first time I have heard the words Texas fan and stable in the same sentence.

Apparently the dispute revolved around whether or not Austin should stay weird or become less weird.

The Applebee’s Salad Bar* cutting was probably a make-up for this slice and dice

*“Applebee’s Salad Bar” – A reference to an idiotic statement by David Brooks of the New York Times during the 2008 campaign in which he stated on MSNBC that “Obama’s problem is he doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who could go into an Applebee’s salad bar.” Applebee’s does not have, nor has it ever had, a salad bar.

Perhaps UT and OU fans should just stay home rather than going out to eat?
