Get The Picture 
Boise better than any SEC East team? Before they’ve even taken a snap this year? Let’s give’m an SEC schedule – say they have road games in Athens, Knoxville, and Nashville. Then get fla, and sakerlina at home (we’ll replace Kentucky with them in the conference). Then you gotta play the west (in order to win the east as well, b/c those games count on your SEC record…). Let’s say they have either LSU or bama on the road, then get Miss St and Arky at home.
Still think they win the East, hands down? Does any one here even think they’ve ever played just a road schedule as tough as this one would be in their football playing HISTORY??

Agreed. I don’t know if he actually believes that or just wrote it to fan the coals. Either way, I think he’s wrong. Boise can go toe-to-toe with most any team in America on a one-game basis, but surviving an SEC schedule week after week is a different exercise.
Unfortunately for UGA, Boise has a lot of time to prepare for the Dome and has a recent history of rising to the occasion. Meanwhile, it’s been years since Georgia rose to the occasion and defeated a team with clearly superior talent. Here’s to seeing a turning point in the Dome.

Which would be my point. Boise State’s immediate history includes wetting the bed against Nevada when they were basically guaranteed a BCS berth, and possibly even more.

Well, that’s one (extremely slanted) way to look at it. If you can deny that Boise has shown up for big games during the last few seasons based on their loss to Nevada, you have very little attachment to reality. Sadly, Boise has had way more big time wins than Georgia over the past three seasons. I’ve got no affection for Boise, and I’m going to be cheering for an SEC ass whooping in the Dome, but c’mon.
Facts are troublesome things, bud. Blinded by homerism, your argument is just as bad as Dienhart’s BS. If you wanted to play the same game you play against Boise but with Georgia’s record, it would be an ugly laundry list of losses. Did you forget that we went 7-9 in the SEC the last two seasons?

Well, bud, I’d say that if you take the big wins Boise has had over the last six years (I figure the 2005 Boise-UGA game is a good place to start) and compare their vanquished foes to teams that Georgia beat in the same season, I think you’d find that the Bulldogs had wins equally as impressive. But, hey, if you want to drink the Boise Kool-Aid, go ahead. Georgia wet the bed last year. So did Boise. While they did beat Virginia Tech, they lost to Nevada. Can they beat Georgia? Sure. But losing to 9 SEC teams in two years does not equal being an automatic win for Boise State. The teams we lost to would beat Boise State. Because it’s the Southeastern Conference. It isn’t the WAC.
In addition, at no point did I deny that Boise has shown up for big games. You invented that yourself.

We lost to Colorado last year. And UCF. Boise doesn’t have to be all that good to look down at us. We’re the ones who have to prove we belong on September 3 – not them.

I like Mike Leach. He’s entertaining and will put up a lot of points. But the Pirate scares me as a big risk at HC for UGA. It’s sorta like turning over the keys to your Mercedes to a NASCAR driver. Sure, he’ll go really fast but he might just wreck the thing, too.

Don’t you guys remember the Run and Shoot and how awesome it was. Remember Buddy Ryan punching the O-Coordinator because the team had been up by 30, but because the idiots were still throwing, gave the other team good opportunities to get the ball back on the Wrong side of the 50 and not running any clock.
He is running the run and shoot and when you play against talented players, you can not keep throwing the football while up. Bad things can happen.

I’m gone poke a beehive on the Corrine Brown thing (Fla., are you listening). I don’t see minority gerrymandered districts as all that bad. If you’re a Republican (I am nominally) they isolate Democrats, which is good. But they leave minorities outside the district absolutely no chance. If you’re a Democrat, they guarantee a seat, which you should like, and you probably feel you can persuade people outside the district to vote Democrat.
On the other hand, incumbent protection districts are a true problem. Our overlords in Washington go to great extremes to literally pick their voters. But, my real point here is that sooner or later, minority gerrymandered districts become incumbent protection districts, then what do you do?
How about term limits? If they’re acceptable for presidents, why aren’t they acceptable for the other elected branch of government? Make the rascals come home and live with the results of their work.

Noticed the “h/t The Weasel” on the gerrymandering article. Someone you know in Fl , Senator? I know a politico and esteemed biology professor down here by the same moniker. Has a few outrageous parties in the deep woods of Fl. Don’t tell me he is the same person and I’ll bet that Dog in Fla knows that name also.
Personally have always felt that the gerrymandering favored Repubs and would be surprised if they led anything seriously in that direction. With a new Repub gov in office that sported a 22% favorability rating last week, am amazed that they would kill the Goose that laid that egg. Hope they do.

Would Bobo be wiling to run some veer with a QB like Murray, his present full backs, thin O line numbers, and the TE group? I’d might to try to get these guys to flash that a few times this year.
I would think some of these comments are better for the ultra liberal printing presses in Tallahassee and St. Petersburg. They are right there with the AJC. People in Florida do not really dislike their governor they just love liberal, statist, big spending governments.
But for sure, the state of Florida has some outstanding football teams in the D1 ranks and the high school level.
