As athletic department budgets tighten, expect to hear this rationale stated more often:
“There’s also the thought that you control the alcohol situation better if you’re selling within your stadium,” said Mike Thomas, Cincinnati’s athletics director.
Funny how that works.
I believe I could do a fine job controlling the drug problem in my county if I was the one manufacturing and selling it.

I’d love to have beer sales at Sanford Stadium, but that doesn’t mean it’s a good idea. If you control beer sales at the stadium, you can better control the alcohol situation… for that three hour period. I know that my buddies and I are still going to be drinking at the tailgate, and I’m sure that goes for everyone else.

This would be a disaster…they already have problems w/ long lines for concessions and running out of ice during early games where it is hot.

Is this the answer for the North Ave Trade School’s ticket problem? A new promo perhaps, 4 Beers, Pretzels and a Homeless Guy to sit next to you!

Did you get a look at their female fan with the taco in her trou? Saw her on TV and she has room for some kinda big taco I’d estimate. Enough area for a Chic-Fil in her A to boot. And a large pizza. And 4 hotdogs.

This would definitely take the sting off our week home schedule for 2012. Incidentally, I never caught a final report on whether beer sales were ok’d for the Chick-fil-A kickoff. The last thing I saw said that was pending approval by both schools. Anyone know??

It’s my understanding that beer will be sold up until the end of halftime/start of 3rd quarter…
