“And Georgia fans, don’t be turds. Enjoy this. Soak it up. It’s awesome. If you don’t win this year, it’s still not a failure. It’s a heck of a run. Back-to-back in the Playoff era hasn’t been done. So, to ask for a third I feel like it’s gluttonous. I feel like it’s not OK. But we’ll be in the mix.”-- David Pollack, On3.com, 5/9/23

Funny, the Gators are very healthy.

Physically, perhaps. But there’s nothing healthy about being a Gator.

How would you know? All their practices have been closed to reporters so there’s no way to know WHO is injured.

Funny Mike, I seem to recall AC Leonard being out 6-8 weeks possibly forcing a redshirt year….looks like Brantley has a sore back too and has been limited. Also, Omarius Hines is questionable for the opener and Jeremy Brown has a sprained knee. Nice try though…now go back to your Gator blogs and learn something about your own team before spewing this crap here.

That’s football. Let’s hope it isn’t serious. Though with our luck, I’m sure it is.

Actually our luck has run pretty good to date. No problems with traffic tickets and no bar fights. I’m sure the D got a little carried away when practicing running over ponies. He’ll bounce back and we’ll enjoy him when he hits the field. Mean while another DGD will step up.

On the injury front, I agree, our luck as been good this off-season mostly. But factor this injury in with attrition, program decline, and a looming L to BSU when we could have been playing Louisville (I know yall won’t like that, but I don’t see us beating BSU) and I don’t see us as a very lucky program right now.

There was plenty of mumbling and grumbling from the glass-half-empty brigade who foresee a season of struggle.
The glass-half-full brigade are keeping the faith and the pragmatists are waiting until we actually play a few games before making a decision on how our season will pan out.

Damn. Hope it’s not bad, but definitely hearing that he could miss at least a couple games.

There’s a chance the boots and crutches are a precaution and this may not be too serious. Smith tweeted this morning that he was “very blessed,” so that sounds pretty positive.

hopefully it’s just like a mild sprain. they can get treatment on that and get it fixed pretty quickly. and he can play with a brace.

He hasn’t mentioned an injury in any post but to me it is most likely because he doesn’t want information out saying anything one way or the other. My guess is players have been told not to comment about injuries on Twitter/Facebook until the coaches/athletic department have made official statements to the press.

Branden Smith is a little banged up, but will be ready to go come next Saturday night. A walking boot is just a precaution to take the weight/pressure off the sore areas which will aid in relieving the inflammation of any sprain or contusion. It is minor or he wouldn’t be walking on it at all. CMR would tell us if it was bad enough to sideline him.
