Easley is being represented by a Gainesville attorney with extensive experience representing UF athletes, Huntley Johnson.
On Tuesday afternoon when Johnson was asked why Easley had hired an attorney, he said, “Probably because he read the (U.S.) Constitution. It’s his right.”

Yeah. Why would the Gainesville, Florida police not be able to rapidly conclude an investigation of assault charges leveled at a University of Florida football player? It makes absolutely no sense why it would get strung out like that. Perhaps the Gainesville, FL PD is going to seminars on how to investigate and bring charges given by the Knoxville, TN PD.

So let’s run down the facts.
1. Someone was attacked.
2. The attacker dropped his phone.
3. The parents of the attacker asked for his phone back.
4. There were two eye witnesses that gave statements.
5. There is video of the attack from security cameras.
6. UPD is unable to identify the attacker as of yet.
7. UPD does successfully arrest the victim of a violent attack because he couldn’t calm down fast enough to satisfy them.
That sounds about right for UPD.

That one hurt. There are a lot of folks in the Gator Nation that blame Addazio for that loss. But in reality it was the defense that let us down. Much like it was mostly the defense last Saturday.

Word now is that Easley carries Chucky as a telephone receptacle. In a pushing and shoving crowd, Chucky leaped from his arms and disappeared ahead. Moments later he was back sans the phone and telling Easley to bugger out because some guy had been attacked and was looking for him. Hey, I just write what is heard from the Benadril Swamp.
Also , word is that Easley will be charged right after the UGA game.

If he’s not arrested, and then suspended for a LONG time, then Muschamp is certainly a man with little or no principle. There are TOO many coaches like that in football. CMR might have a more than occasional discipline problem, but at least it includes real, honest discipline. The Phil Fulmers, Steve Spurriers, and Les Miles (and obvious others) of college football are actually cheaters (IMHO) because they wink at what should absolutely be a suspension worthy incident and let the player get off practically scott free.
I say “cheaters” because their actions (or lack of ) are morally dishonest. Muschamp is out of control and his team will increasingly reflect it in their actions.

Yeah, it was 3 arrests, but Muschamp wasn’t there for the first 2, so you really can’t hang that one on him.
He might stay true to UF form and let players slide with felonies ( I noticed Rainey’s still on the team), but he did boot the stoner cornerback when Meyer probably would have let him stay.
