This strikes me as fairly remarkable.
… According to folks tracking this sort of thing, the top 10 teams in college football aren’t just winning, they’re consistently beating the spread. Associated Press top 10 teams are 38-14 against the spread on the year and 16-1 in the last two weeks.
The top ten’s not just winning, it’s beasting on the rest of the college football world. And as the stat he cites indicates, the trend is accelerating.
Parity ain’t the story in college football this year.
I blame Bobo.

Bama and Stanford, I think, have covered all season. Two weeks ago, every top ten team covered save Wisky (and they were off).
It’s been tough to win a week in 960’s 3 for all.

Just curious. Has UGA beaten the spread this season? Anyone? Bueller?

Nick Saban doesnt give a $**t about statistics. He’s got a game this weekend. THAT’S what he’s worrying about.

Look for that to taper off. They can’t play cupcakes all season.

I agree. I think Auburn and Tennessee cover tomorrow(but lose the game).

If Alabama wins 31-6, they do not cover. I’d take those points if I were a bettin’ man…

Interesting quote from Cowherd[of all people] a few years ago. ” Urban Meyer knows the value of beating the spread. Beating the spread moves you up in the polls.”

Cowherd routinely says shit to move the meter. I’m not saying he’s wrong, but keep in mind that he has to keep listeners interested by saying stuff that’s off the wall.

Yes, Mayor. We beat the spread at UM, home against MSU and at UT.

I am pretty sure OU didn’t beat the spread last night against Texas Tech.

I’m guessing Wisconsin didn’t either.
