There’s something truly marvelous about Will Muschamp calling out the rest of the conference after Florida squeaked by Vanderbilt at home to end a four-game losing streak.
Excellent work, Boom. Threaten the rest of the SEC and give them more motivation. We’ll chalk up the Vandy win as an accident. You couldn’t help they got 106 penalty yards.
It just sounds so beneath a head coach. You say that to your players, but not to the world.
It’s just a flesh wound.
Big talker.. Hope they lose to the ‘Cocks and the Noles. Stay classy, Boom.
Hope this “prediction” by him is as good as he was at predicting a win over UGA this year.
He didn’t “predict” according to Muschamp. He “guaranteed”. Big difference with Muschamp and the Gators. Don’t be puttin’ words in his mouth. He ain’t through gettin’ all of’em out yet. Any man with no hindsight nor objectivity will continue to misspeak. Gator’s motto is,”Where there is a Will there is a way that’s not good”.
If you talk shit and dont back it up you lose credibility. Simple as that.
Boomer is trying to create a huge buzz about his program to lure in the really great recruits. But here in lies the rub.
Boom is not used to coaching a team that he has to make due with. He is not used to making something out of nothing . Almsot all of his career he has coached the Lane Kiffin Way. And that is recruit the best talent available and then LET THEM WIN THE GAME. Oh I am sure he has such great coaching advice as “Run FASTER!” “or “Catch the ball!!!” but I have seen his type commonly and I know how they work.
Boomie Boy went to UF coz the have lots of talent to recruit. But if all things are equal a coach will beat a loudmouth Circus clown any day of the week. And thats why Kiffin left town. And probably why Boomster will be run out of town in about 2 more years.
On the bright side if he leaves by sea he can ride Weiss’ bloated carcus.
Interesting that most gator fans are admitting that the refs helped them.
I still can’t understand how they could not call the pass interference on two occasions.
Does the SEC ever review the performance of refs? Are they ever held accountable? fired? I’ve heard the crew that screwed the Dawgs on the Jasper Sanks “fumble” against GT was punished. True?
What about the Ahole who called the celebration penalty on AJ Green against LSU. Did he get off Scott free? Just wondering..and hoping for some kind of justice in this league.
I could be wrong, but I believe I remember there being some kind of punishment for the refs that jobbed AJ. I think they were suspended a game or something…
Can anyone confirm?
They were, after the following week when they botched a major call at the Arky-Florida game.
Correct Senator, but it was for what they did in the Arkansas-Florida game, not because of the LSU-UGA game. Our incompetent AD at the time didn’t even file a formal complaint with the conference office about that game. That crew should have been fired after what they did in Athens and never reffed another SEC game. Marc Curles is a Techie and always is looking for a way to job UGA. The only Head Referee worse than Curles is Penn Wagers.
The crew that screwed the Jasper Sanks call was indeed suspended and unable to ref any bowl games that year. Instead of helping us it just pissed off the refs and that crew screwed us until they retired. Now the head of that crew is a replay ref and he is still screwing us.
Can’t speak for everyone, but I am damn sure enjoying it!
Sure isn’t what we’re used to in a head coach, at least not since Dooley. Isn’t it better to have a little respect for the opposition?
“Respect? We don’t need no stinkin’ respect for the opposition”, Will said as Foley rushed for the microphone and Muschamp exits the stage with a high five to Rainey who is busy with his other hand texting another threat to a girl friend.
“They could use the extra month of practice.”
Lord, MF Boom is already turning into his offensive coordinator. Remember four years ago, when Notre Dame got worked, 38-0, by USC and Charlie Weis said “People better enjoy it now, have their fun now”?
Weis went 15-14 after that and was gone in two years.
Good catch. Although I’m starting to hope Boom might stay a little longer in Gainesville than that.
Thrashing quote popped into my head also. I love that corch boom is walking down the same path as Weis.
Scuttlebutt is that Jeremy thinks that Will, who is short on imagination but not anger, is now using Charlie’s favorite playbook, the “Top 8 Best Charlie Weis Quotes” http://www.briancombs.net/775/
It will be interesting in the off season to follow his speeches to the faithful. Moreso if the 12yr old girl stands up and asks him to define “Guarantee”. He may have started a new classification for malaprops where it’s spelled and sounds like an intended word application.
Thank you for auditioning a potential future coach for us. Between y’all and Tennessee, we will have no need for an executive search firm after Coach Richt retires.
Please don’t hire Kirby Smart. Don’t throw him in that thar’ briar patch.
“The nations most penalized team was yellow-flagged three times, compared to Vandy’s dozen for 106 yards.” Translation: The refs cheated for Florida and that is how the Gators beat Vandy. Of course, the Head Referee was Penn Wagers, the crookedest ref in college football. Big surprise.
The SEC Officals were:
(a) mistakenly working off the 2009 Memo of Understanding;
(b) penalizing Franklin for the good of the league;
(c) being a man like Boom told them to be after blowing call at Auburn; or
(d) afraid of Jeremy.
All of the above. Franklin had better get used to being screwed by the league or he is going to be one frustrated dude. At least UF can fill up a stadium, Vandy is a joke.
Boom and Weis better enjoy the UF job while they got it.
I think a lot of teams, including Georgia, “squeaked by” Vandy
I must have missed the four-game losing streak the Dawgs endured before that win… and Richt’s bravado afterwards.
Well done there.
