“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Bibb County, Alabama, thank you very much.

No, BD…thank you Bibb County.

This is a good kid. Definitely a guy you don’t mind seeing go out of state and doing well.

That’s very classy of you to say, BD. Too many fans vilify the good kids that just choose to go to different colleges.
They’re not all like Newton & Fairley, after all.

I wish I could do that…

I’d pay a coupla hundred bucks to be able to walk around barefoot in that grass. Heaven.

it really is heaven. i sware its softer than some carpet.
i was in Redcoats, and we practiced in Sanford on wednesdays. Every once in a while when they had just painted the field, we had to practice bearfoot. Those were some of my favorite days

Ben walks barefooted on a D-1 coach’s snack. Is that what you mean, Spike?

I really hope he unleashes hell on the war tigers…I’m pretty sure he remembers the end of the game last year.

Pretty sure he instigated the end of the game last year. He has been effective in helping put some lead back into Georgia’s pencil.
And miles to go before he rests…..

I hold Ben absolutely innocent. After what Fairley did to Murray and after the refs refused to call ONE SINGLE DIRTY HIT, what Ben did was completely and totally defensible.

The grass is like soft carpet. I got on the field for last years Vandy game, and really was amazed how great the grass felt. We do a great job at maintaining our field.

For anyone that watched the FL/Vandy game, did you notice how shitty their field looked? Very worn and brown.
Maybe they should go back to the carpet.

I noticed the exact same thing and commented on it as well during their game! As a matter of fact – and this is gonna sound slanted and bias here – I notice that a lot around the SEC. Our field always looks top notched, and a lot of them just look shabby, for lack of a better term, especially as the season wears on. I can’t understand that with all the $$ flowing thru this league.

Not playing a home game in a month doesn’t hurt.

Fla hadn’t been at home since Oct 1 themselves.

I’ll bet every HS in North Florida has been playing games in the Swamp from the looks of it.

Ben must love him some grass. Rip it up and eat it or walk thru it. If any game was played on a muddy field my guess is he’d be the dirtiest of em all and in complete heaven. DGD
