My Week Fourteen Mumme Poll ballot

The last week of the regular season is in the books, less Army-Navy, and my ten best are as follows:

  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Boise State
  • LSU*
  • Michigan
  • Oklahoma State
  • Oregon
  • Southern Cal
  • Stanford
  • Wisconsin

COMMENTS

  • My top eight were easy decisions – those being every team listed above except Arkansas and Michigan – but those last two slots were a bitch to fill.
  • Man, the computers really love Oklahoma.  I thought about keeping the Sooners in my top ten again this week, despite the OSU blow out, but when one of your three losses is to a crappy Texas Tech squad, it’s just a bridge too far for me.
  • At least we won’t have Houston and Virginia Tech to kick around anymore.
  • Yeah, I’m probably screwing Georgia and Michigan State for playing in their respective championship games and losing.
  • Following that, I think Michigan makes a stronger case for inclusion than does South Carolina.

Senator, I can log into the Mumme Poll but when I click on “ballot” nothing happens, so it won’t let me vote. What am I doing wrong? Please talk slow and use small words cuz I’m not very computer savy…but again I can log in but no drop down menu or anything once I get there.

I think the Dawgs would have beat Arkansas.
Berate me if you must, but I think the Arkys are overated.
That’s my story and I’m stickin to it.

I agree, UGA is better than Arkansas and South Carolina. Arkansas doesn’t have a good enough defense to stay with us, and Sc doesn’t have enough offense. Purely semantical argument at this point, I hope they both win their bowl games. Only SEC team I hope loses, outside of the faux title game, is Auburn. They continue to be the embarrassment of the league. I do hope LSU rolls Alabama, we know the SEC cannot sweep the bowls. Odd, very odd.

I want Arky and USCe to both lose as rivals and hated enemies. I agree with you on Auburn. How can you be for the Cheatin’ Cajuns after the way they held on every down in the second half, blocked in the back indiscriminately on every punt without fear of flags and tried to run up the score when the game was out of reach? I’m for Bama by default simply because I’m against the Tigers winning and have no other choice.

I don’t know where you got that about LSU running up the score. They did nothing but run the ball in the 2nd half, and we gave them the Pick 6. Miles didn’t go anywhere near running up th escore. If you want to say the score isn’t a reflection of he difference in the teams, I am all in.

The fact blocking in the back wasn’t called in plain view in front of the ref on that first TD isn’t LSU’s point. Nor is any holding calls that weren’t made (I mean when isn’t this complained about by ALL teams?) bu officials. If you want to say SEC officials are incompetent, and probably the worst in the country, I’m all in again.

I don’t see how you cannot pull for a team that has faced the toughest schedule in the nation, won every time, and has been the winningest SEC program in this century. They also have better fans, imo, and are much more fun to mix with. Miles is not only a better coach, but handles himself in a way I could accept him on our sideline. They have been my 2nd favorite team for two decades, and I hope we play them in Atlanta again next December…as things look at this point that might be a decent prediction. I know…way too early.

Yep, same here. I figured something was up when it was listed as Week 37 and there was only one vote tallied. Now there are two.

My power poll for the SEC.

    1 LSU
    2 Bama
    3 The Dawgs
4 Dawgs are at three because the next two would get their butts beat them if played now. That be Carolina and Arkansas.
