The decline of Ole Miss, in one paragraph

ESPN recruiting analyst Jamie Newberg writes that even with the short recruiting window, Freeze should be familiar with a lot of the targets on Ole Miss’ recruiting board because he was chasing the same players while at Arkansas State. [Emphasis added.]

That’ll get you to 0-8 in a hurry in the SEC West.

That’s going to be one of the toughest salvage jobs in a long time. How would you convince a kid to come to a school that has had dismal seasons and changes coaches as often as baby diapers? Unless you find some that have just always wanted to wear the nifty helmets, you’re left with the ones that weren’t offered by other, more prominant programs. Ole Miss isn’t exacty swimming in prominance right now. But then, who wouldn’t take a million plus a year for the opportunity to give it a whirl?

I chuckled when they said Hugh Freeze’s recruiting connections helped him land the job. He’s still recruiting to Ole Miss.

With that said, it’s still an SEC job at a state school and i think Archie just had a grandson.

    Go Rebs. Go Rebs.

One thing you can say for the Rebs they put down the Tigers in a rematch. Now can those boys from Bama do that.
If Bama drops game two to the Tigers, you can begin to write the closing chapter of Saban at Bama.
