Oh, this is the worst-looking hat I ever saw. What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh?

I can’t think of anything more fantastic in the world than Les Miles taking a liking to it and wearing a houndstooth hat at the BCS Championship game…

  4. Truly The Hat can appreciate a fancy hat when he sees one. Such an offbeat character.

I agree. He is a master at keeping his team loose and focused during difficult times. This year’s troubles have been well-chronicled, but anyone remember what they dealt with to get to the SECCG in 2005?

You, and about 95% of America. The whine coming out of the state to our West has become unbearable. Any team that has 21 SEC titles would have great difficulty pulling off the “Napoleon complex” act but these guys are wallowing in self-pity about how the whole world is against them. Pathetic. First it was anyone who picked them to lose a game all year, then the pollsters who dared not vote them #1, then the SEC refs in the LSU game, now we have to hear about the great conspiracy to keep them out of the BCS faux title game, and the Heisman “ripoff” from Trent Richardson. Good Lord, they need to just attach tin cups to their hands at birth.

Would love to see LSU put a beatdown on them, but the psychological edge belongs to Bama, LSU has already won this “for all the marbles” match-up and should get the title win or lose. Why are we playing this game again? Regular season stands for nothing to this BCS crowd.

I understand and respect your opinion on this Mac but I feel differently. First, UGA could have beaten the Tigers had we had any backs who were healthy enough to play. The D played so well they almost won the game single-handedly so maybe LSU isn’t quite as good as some people are saying. The cheatin’ SEC refs let LSU back in the game with no-calls on blocks in the back on punt returns and holding by their O-line. Then things went downhill for UGA and the score ended up not reflecting the closeness of the game and the fact that the UGA D dominated (that’s right–dominated) the LSU offense for most of the game. This was brought about at least in part by what I perceived as an attempt by Miles to run up the score. It worked. Some of the talking heads the next day were using terms like “blowout” to describe what happened. One radio idiot (an announcer–not a call in guest) said that South Carolina was “the only good team” in the SEC East. The WWL is already spinning this year’s version of the Tigers as “one of the best, if not THE best, team in college football history.” F#ck LSU. They ain’t sh!t. Kick the crap out of them Bama and run up the score while you are doing it! Expose them for the propped up frauds that they really are! I got no love for the Tide but right now I got a lot of hate for some Cajun rednecks and the Louisiana State Penitentiary football team. ROLL TIDE!!!!!

Any one with a bit of understanding of football knows that score is not indicative of the game. Special teams, turnovers, and dropped passes kept that from being a monumental blowout. LSU did nothing, not one thing to run up the score. They ran the football and our defense loet down on the 95 yard drive but it was all runs! No trickery, and no dazzling plays, run or pass. Then AM floated a Pick 6 up, what were they supposed to do.

So because radio announcers and people who only read headlines, not the story, are supposed toi impact how I feel? It doesn’t work that way. Just like people who say SC was the best team in the East, or worse, the ONLY team, didn’t see the game we handed them. And obviously not the rest of the season either. Stop letting little minds affect the way you feel….crush them. Geaux Tigers!
