“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Kinda feel bad for SOD. He thinks he is Nick Saban but unfortunately he is not. Solid case of a head coach not ready for prime time in the SEC. Sorry to say his days in Knox-Vegas are numbered.

Wonder if Vol fans still think we are going to steal him to replace Richt?

P.S. Rats deserting a sinking ship. Coaches caught it from the players.

Who is going to replace them with the odds being it’s a one year gig?

That’s the question. I wouldn’t roll those dice.

In a thread of FB with a friend that is a Vol fan, the word is when Peyton retires from the NFL, the job is his.

The streets are littered with great players who couldn’t coach. Why would anybody think Peyton Manning could be a successful HC in the SEC without any coaching experience whatsoever? I hope the stupid Vols do just that.

Why, he does such a great job at the Manning Passing Academy, how could he fail?

Could see him being a good OC after he got some experience. He’s really good at reading defenses, after all. A no-huddle system that lets him call plays from the booth could really be a good set-up.

I think Manning might be different. He’s practically the Colt’s OC when healthy and he’s apparently pretty good at the glad-handing.
