Keith Marshall, Bulldog historian

Seriously, how many eighteen-year olds, Georgia recruits or otherwise, say something like this?

“I know a lot about the history of running backs, not just here, but everywhere. Obviously there’s Herschel, but I can name a lot of the running backs that went here. I have the Herschel documentary in my room.”

Let’s hope there’s a recruit in the class of 2030 saying something similar about Marshall.

Think I am going to really like this kid. Everything he has said or done so far sounds mature, focused and prepared for the SEC. Hope all the recruitniks had him pegged accurately.

      I agree.

It’s rare to find a prospect whose 40 time is lower than his GPA.

Not that it’s a perfectly accurate time, but Marshall has been clocked below 4.3 seconds. Regardless of whether or not the time is perfectly accurate, to be even close is pretty remarkable.

I like that he seems level headed and prepared for hard work. I just hope his will is like Iron and that he is the type to want to be out there so bad he’d sneak on just for the shot to play one more down. Good luck kid. We’ll all be pulling for you.

    Awesome – but I’ll settle for Hearst…or Worley…or Tate…or Musa…or T Brown…or Hampton…or Henderson…or Knowshon – Running Back U Baby!! Man that gets me fired up!
Sounds like a great kid so far…

Well, he sure knows how to properly prime the faithful. That’s red meat right there!

Of all of UGA’s successful tailbacks, who was the fastest besides Herschel? Hearst? Robert Edwards?

Just when I thought I couldn’t feel older:

“And I’ve always liked Knowshon Moreno, since I was in like middle school. Whenever it was he played against Hawaii (January 2008) in that game, ever since then I wanted to come here.”

I’ll be at the nursing home watching Matlock if you need me.

This guy’s IQ is his reason for his GPA, methinks. It wasn’t given to him as he seems to have earned it. He may be the big time team player we have longed for. Hope this continues and he makes us fans ashamed of calling ourselves “fans”. Seems like a can’t miss with Murray.

Does this mean Marshall might call a time out if Murray checks to the inside handoff at the wrong time?

Marshall would have to call timeout from the sidelines, we only run up the middle with Carlton Thomas or Brandon Harton.

He may be used as the backup for signal communication when Murray is walking in circles after a big hit. Of course, he could have a dark side and tell Murray the call is for a QB keeper. If Marshall falls down laughing right after such a play, we may have another problem with a team joker.
