Remember, they have your best interests at heart.

Shorter BCS Commissioners and the Notre Dame Athletics Director:  Fans, as we fight over every last postseason dollar we can get our grubby paws on and figure out who we can screw over in the process, just remember we’re doing all this for you… eh, what’s that?… oh, the student-athletes?… yeah, why not, sure, them too, we guess.

“The bottom line is we will continue to talk about how to make a great sport even better for student-athletes , fans and everyone who loves college football.” Key words here are “will continue to talk about”. Talking about and doing are nowhere near synonymous.

This looks like my home insurance policy and sounds like my agent. If you can pin anything down, then you must be a barrister because the mealy-mouthed words don’t give a warm and fuzzy do they? Can we get a reconciliation statement from these yeahoos after the dust settles?

Students have abandoned college basketball games in droves. And attendance at most college FB programs isn’t all that great either. UGA has done just about all they can to frustrate anyone who wishes to tailgate. Game times are changed on a whim. Greed is ruining much of what we all love about college sports. I was essentially forced out of attending games due to tailgate regulations and game time issues. I believe the powers that be get a little closer to killing the golden goose every day.

I can’t read about any commissioners, presidents, or athletic directors without getting furious. We all know they only care about money, and they know they only care about money. I just wish we could cut the bull****. I would have more respect for all parties involved if they would just say, “We are trying to make as much money as humanly possible and do not care about the game at all.
