Nothing but typical of today’s society. What have you done for me lately? That is all it is. The same guys were praising Urban’s greatness after beating OU in the BCS title game. Yet these same dorks, pounded on him for losing a single game to Alabama in 2009 (26-2 over a two year span).
I am hardly a fan of Meyer, but this is sheer insanity.

I must have missed something. What are Florida fans pissed about, exactly? That Meyer left the program? Or that he apparently did recruit below the top 1% of the top 1%, and left them with a roster full of drama? I’m certainly no defender of Meyer, but I don’t see the cause for righteous indignation here. To the rest of the country, this all just feels like Florida fans are finally pulling their heads out of the asses and seeing what everyone else saw the whole time — a giant douche who could win football games. Hard to fault Meyer for that.

+1. Such fans and program sycophants in the media are either willfully blind or stupid or both. Just like Lane Kiffin, Bobby Petrino, or Nick Saban, guys like Meyer are exactly what everyone else outside the walls of your program thought they were. When the veil is inevitably lifted (the guy leaves for another job or is sacked in disgrace), I find the level of outrage, indignation, and betrayal amusing. You go to bed with a whore, then you wake up with a whore……unless she steals your shit and leaves before you wake up. Too bad, Gators.
