Envy and jealousy: congradulations!

The lede to Paul Myerberg’s preseason analysis of Kentucky made me laugh:

Congratulations are in order for Kentucky. For the whole basketball thing, of course, but don’t forget this: Kentucky is no longer the 11th-best program in the SEC – or 12th, if we believe Vanderbilt can continue building upon James Franklin’s debut. Yes, congratulations: you did it, Kentucky. Today, after Mike Slive and the league’s decision-makers added Missouri and Texas A&M, the Wildcats are the 13th-best program in the 14-team SEC – or 14th, dead last, under the same conditions as above.

Just wait ’til the SEC expands to sixteen.  That’ll show ’em.

  1. Go Dawgs!

And yet, they’ll probably still be leading us early in the 4th quarter.

  2. And wait till BOBO had some panic attack later in that 4th quarter. LOL

Give some credit where it is due. They played hard and nearly beat our ass. Using a sub QB WR, they did beat Tenn. Attributing the close score to UGA scewups would not be fair to their RB and others who manned up against us and others. I thought their competitive spirit outshined everyone. I don’t follow their fan base, but their team took bad conditions like a man. Wonder what the level of whining would have been with each and every other team in the SEC playing under the same conditions?

I salute Kentucky. I’ll salute’em again after we beat them this season.

Kentucky finished with as many SEC wins at Miss. State last year, which, heh.
