The happy-go-lucky Nick Fairley

Jon Solomon reminds me why I miss him so.

Once again, there’s the woefully immature image of stupidity.

Look at Nick Fairley, arrested for the second time in a month and grinning in his mug shot like he sacked Aaron Murray.

Maybe Trooper was on hand at his release to high-five him.

If nick was white we would call him “white trash.”. I have no sympathy. You get what you deserve. He will be broke and on government assistance before he dies.

Shocked that guy who celebrates personal fouls would smile in his mug shot.

I try to stay out of the quicksand of Auburn message boards, but this thread is a goldmine: http://mbd.scout.com/mb.aspx?s=6&f=1010&t=9020798
“I think we overestimated the positive effect that two short years at Auburn had had on him.”
As my friend used to say at the conclusion of Auburn’s old TV spots, where the tag line was “Where would Alabama be without Auburn?” … Perfect.

The man is an adult now and has nothing to do with AU or us. No hard feelings Nick, if I could be there when you bond out I would wave a towel for you. Say hello to the AU guys in there for me.

Did catch a funny tweet yesterday on this. Nick Fairley: arrested, Aaron Murray: “Finally!”

I tried to read the Auburn chat link, but the utter stupidity of their fans saying he wasn’t a dirty player other than that ONE hit in the Georgia game, made me want to shotgun the rest of my beer I bought for the holiday.

I’m still not as mad at Fairly as I am Pooper Taylor. Taylor is a grown man. One who wears his hat backwards. If you wanna know why Nick acted the way he did, look no further than Taylor. And Chiz.

No, not buying it. Fairley is 100% to blame for everything he has done. Trooper and Chizik may have let it go unabated, but it was still Fairley’s decision to do everything he has done. Late hits, DUIs, etc all fall squarely on his shoulders.

That said, I hope he learns his lesson and cleans up his act. If not, he does not have much of a future in football…or life in general.

I agree with you except for the last part. I hope he does something that wakes up the law and gets him sent away permanently. The guy is a menace to society who uses his status as a football player to save his worthless POS ass. Lock him up and throw away the key.

I am all for personal accountability so I get where you are coming from. But you have to wonder if some discipline from The aU staff, and fans would have helped him see there might be consequences. No the staff and fans’ fault that he was a punk, but they were the ones who condoned it. Screw him, he deserves nothing good in life. Too many good folks struggling to care about him getting any benefits.

  10. Just a FYI – some of your really old posts are being republished on my google reader subscription. The following got posted around noon central time and was a bit confusing. I was really excited to see that you were really active today but realized that the info was not current.

Gee, shocked to see the knuckle-dragger locked up. They’ll find him dead one day and no one will gas.

+1. Good people die every day, time for the bad ones to step up and take their place. In a just world folks like The Fairy would go long before innocent children/victims.

Color me embarrassed by this sequence of posts. Just because we wear the same colors doesn’t mean that we see eye to eye. Just awful and I hope another school’s set of fans doesn’t read this.

Ron, I believe in redemption for even the worst of humans. This guy has made enemys not just in Georgia, but across the SEC.
I would like to see him get it together and become a positive force in society, but I’m not going to hold my breath.
This is a sports blog and you know there is a lot of hyperbole posted here. I doubt any of these guys really want NF dead or imprisoned for life. I believe they are just following the good old Biblical principle that “whatsoever a man shall sow, that also shall he reap”…..Do you really expect people he has flaunted his mean and unsportsman like behavior in front of , people who are passionate enough to be reading about and posting about UGA football at the end of May…to say “Aww, Nick is a monster but I hope things work out for him” ? People will usually be fair, eventually, but the knee jerk reaction to something like this will be just what you see here…It would be no different on any other SEC blog.

Yes, I agree wishing for his death is a bit strong – even for an SEC football blog. But pointing out that he is a useless waste of space on this planet and may very well never have a positive contribution to society is absolutely fair game.
