According to Phil Steele, Georgia returns a higher percentage of tackles than any other major program in the country. In the context of finishing fifth in total defense last year, I’d call that grounds for optimism.

how many of those tackles are going to be sitting because of off field issues?
Also something about Murray/Bobo turning the ball over…
exactly. “returning” is a relative term in our case. returning after a four-game suspension? sure.
Misleading stat. The most important tackle of UGA’s 2011 season was made by a departing player (Drew Butler).
so this is actually optimism??? considering our depth on the OL is not good. I don’t but in on this one bit.
*buy. nope nada sorry
The team has a very good D line returning. Just as a good O line makes the skill players on O look better the D line makes or breaks their skill guys. Even with Ogletree suspended the front seven should be one of the best in the SEC. I am now the Anti-Munson, at least until my paranoid nature takes over.
I like Abry Jones to really bust out this season. Most of the attention will focus on the NGs, Washington/Drew, and the LBs. He’ll have a big senior year.
