Only in Alabama

This is awesome on so many levels.

How many Wiccans do you suppose live in the state of Alabama?  And of those, how many admit it in public?

    I hope she gets on the jury, and then goes on Pawl’s show post trial.

    There may by now be a covey of covens in the greater metropolitan Auburn area –

    No problem, how many people in the third world (Alabama) can even spell Wiccan? Just don’t say witch and the rest of the Jury won’t have a clue. By the way, lots of women there look like witches.

    It’s a college town. She probably works in either the environmental science or womyn’s studies department.

    (also, … Really? Someone from Georgia poking fun at Alabama?)

    Legal question: An Alabama man and an Alabama woman cross the state line into Georgia where they get married. They live together in Georgia for 7 years. They then get divorced. Are they still cousins?

    Things are so slow in Alabama, when you cross the state line you have to turn your watch back one hour.

    I went to college in Georgia. There are more redneck idiots in GA than in Bama, and it is not even close.

    I feel a little empathy for Harvey. Sure, what he did was extremely idiotic and sophomoric, and he really got stupid after the arrest and did interviews. Having him as a client would even make a corporate lawyer crazy. But I really don’t think he should go to jail for 19 years. He should do some time because of how stupid he was, but not 19 years. I have had clients that murdered people (not trees) get a lot less than that.

      As an attorney I’m sure you understand the idea. Ehind such a large sentence. You are dealing with 2 irrational fan bases and not making an example of this a**hole would only set the presidency that as long as you didn’t harm a person physically, you can get off with a light sentence.

      You need to get in touch with your inner being. How can you not feel sadness over this loss…………….

    “I Tthink that I shall never see
    A poem lovely as a tree.

    A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
    Against the sweet earth’s flowing breast;

    A tree that looks at God all day,
    And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

    A tree that may in summer wear
    A nest of robins in her hair;

    Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
    Who intimately lives with rain.

    Poems are made by fools like me,
    But only God can make a tree. ”

      Beautiful. Just beautiful. Did you write that yourself? You have really motivated me now. I’m going to strike Updyke with a bolt of lightning.

    Even if she said she couldn’t be impartial, that still doesn’t tell you which side she comes down on. Maybe she thinks Mr. Updyke’s alleged actions were justified since the death of those trees will likely save the lives of countless other trees going forward due to Barners not wasting all that TP.

    I may try that Wiccan thing the next time I get called up. They won’t let me use too old yet.
