Maybe the beer pong kid from OK St will transfer to Tech. He seems like he’d be the kind of sterling young man who would bring back memories of their glory days, when girl punching pizza brawls and Bobby Rothhhhhhhhhhhh style “discipline” (sic) were the rage on North Avenue.

I have two questions about the Beer pong incident:
1 Does Oklahoma have a fighting words statute? Because if it does accusing someone of cheating at beer pong is generally considered fighting words on North Campus;and
2 Did chief tell the girl to shut the F… up before he shoved her ? I think that should be a good defense. If he told me to shut the F up ,I think I would. If he didn’t warn her than 81’s right he should transfer to Tech.

Looks like some sort of sanity is finally settling in on Happy Valley, which is good to see and if you still think the NCAA was too hard on PSU, you are in interesting company. College football scholar, master of ridiculous trivia and the worst announcer in the history of the game, Brent Musberger agrees with you. With that endorsement, who could argue with the penalty?

Nevertheless, it’s way past time for the PSUers to shut up and get the heck out of the news cycle. I, mean, how can we miss them if they never leave?

Spurrier on UT practicing on the field named for him…”Kinda neat”….maybe it is because I live where I live, but I am beginning to be just slightly nervous about Tennessee. I don’t think Spurrier was saying UT looked like a high school team…well, he probably was, but I am still just slightly itchy about the Vols.

Here’s what I got out of it. Spurrier is such a F’ing dick.
“Glad we could help out the Vols. Hopefully, they’ll beat Georgia and a whole bunch of people. Not us, but a bunch of people.”

Y’all need to stop thinking of Tennessee as the boogeyman. They’ve been in a state of decline for 14 years now, and it’s flat out unreasonable to keep on predicting them to jump up and contend every year. EVERY YEAR there are people saying “watch out for Tennessee this year!” and every year they keep sucking. There’s no comparison between us and them. We’re a good, stable program. They’re a shell of their former selves and Derek Dooley ain’t General Neyland.

I don’t remember saying anything about boogeymen when talking about Tennessee, what I am saying is that they have some good athletes, they are hungry, even desperate and that makes me just slightly nervous.
There is only one boogeyman in the SEC, and SOD does not have to be Bob for the Vols to make me itch. The only contention I am interested in is sneaking up on Georgia.

I agree, but not because of Spurrier’s comments. I’m torn between some writers who say they see spots of football players , but no team and others who see a badass team heading up for the season. I’ve tended to believe the spottiness and thought good team strength belief was for homers of that team.
Now, having seen SOD do anything to keep players on the field, I’m confused as to how much of a danger they are in the East. Does anyone have a favorite pundit that they think has done a good job dissecting this on-again, off-again coaster ride of a “team”?

After last years season of self immolation UT’s own Shaolin monk is still gazing at that bamboo patch wondering when it’s gonna grow. He might even be tempted to give up on it, unlike most plants, it will still sit in the ground, dormant, waiting — for just the right time. And time is not on SOD’s side…. no it’s not. High turn over in coaching staffs and the attendant coaching philosophies, bipolar locker room and a childish leader in qb Bray does not a winning season make. No matter how talented Bray is with his NFL caliber arm attached to that jr high qb frame, he has yet to play an entire football season. The chances of him leading the team from Knoxvegas to an upset victory over the Dawgs in their house -between the hedges no less- slim and none. The Commerce Pottery House is closed sports fans. There are no more ceramic dogs to paint orange. Welcome to the Hedges UT Vols. ….. don’t drop the soap, it could get dirty out there.

One other little nugget: Athens did very well in Olympic medals, both overall and per capita, measured against other U.S. cities and towns.

We are definitely under the OBC’s skin when he has to bring up someone else beating us in an article that had nothing to do with the DAWGS.

Millions and millions of dollars for facilities and they can’t even practice in Knoxvegas. SOD won’t even let UT Athletics staff that aren’t involved with football view practice, they are not allowed to make eye contact with SOD and only speak to him indirectly through a second party. Little did Lane know while he watched in his rear view the mattresses smolder the damage he hath wrought.

Stephen A Smith is absolutely unwatchable and a caricature of Stephen A Smith at this point. LSU has zero obligation to pay for someone who can’t follow the rules. That entire segment was garbage. Ugh
