Perhaps, but why stick a thumb in the eye of ‘Nole voters in the Sunshine state? He is supposed to be like us, as though that matters, because he is supposedly a real sports fan. Seems a though a “real sports fan” would know that FSU exists (not to mention USF, UM, UCF) and thier fans (voters) probably think he looks like a douche doing the chomp.

I agree with your implication that Obama voters are too stupid not to realize that their vote should be determined by a hand gesture. I like Romney because I am very certain he is both for and against the gators, abortion, immigration reform, government health care, stem cell research, and global warming. Whatever you believe, Romney has agreed and disagreed with you. Just pick the half you like and go with it.

Of course, you fail to distinguish between (a) a candidate’s being, as you put it, “both for and against” something, and (b) a candidate’s views on a particular issue changing over time. You attribute the former to Romney, and that is, as I said, obviously not the case. On the other hand, have Romney’s views about some issues changed over time? Sure, they have. And as long as they’re changing for the better, I don’t have a problem with that. Like I said, I’d take that over someone who has just been consistently wrong about most things from the start, and shows no sign of changing.
It’s also worth noting — a fact that Obama supporters simply cannot seem to get their heads around — that it is possible for something to be in the best interest of a particular district, state, etc., but *not* in the best interest of the larger political body of which the district or state is a part. And since this is the case, it is possible for a governor to make decisions in his capacity as governor that he would not, in theory, make as a president, and yet to be doing both in the best interest of the political body that he leads. Clear-thinking people understand this.
But in the end, you really just need to ask yourself: How many of the millions of voters who either cannot find a job or have simply given up trying do you really think are going to give two squirts of piss about Romney having different opinions either in the past or in different political contexts? I’ll answer for you: None. And that’s all I’ll say about this. Back to football.

Read Adam Smith Derek, it will enlighten you so that you might understand that cheap labor low skill jobs will always go away from wealthy counties and to poorer ones. Not only is that the way it is suppose to work it but benefits both sides of the equation. We can have all our socks made in this country but they will cost $20.00 a pair. As an aside neither Obama nor Romney can stop unskilled jobs from being exported ,these jobs are going away and they ain’t coming back. So if you wank to make cloth go to India but if your interested in Hydrogen cell or nanotechnology stay here and pray that Dear Leader Obama doesn’t continue to subscribe to a 300 year old economic theory (Mercantile ,I think it was called) and put tariffs on imported cars to help his UAW cronies at Government Motors

I am a free trader and I do understand that certain jobs will naturally find their way to developing economies. What I do not subscribe to though is turning a blind eye to workers being exploited in those countries nor do I think we should honor those who profit from turning middle class jobs in Indiana into third world jobs in India. Can I live with it? Sure, but don’t ask me to applaud or think that those who profit from that are better at helping middle class workers here.They are not. What we ought to be doing is turning those unskilled workers at textile mills into middle class workers on infrastructure projects like high speed rail, updating our bridges etc…of course if you fly in a corporate jet who gives a damn if your roads and bridges suck, right? We need a president who understands and cares about and wants to transition workers into a work force that can hope to have a decent lifeand a future for their kids. My belief is that the romneys if the world want to take workers making $23 and hour with benefits into workers making $9 without benefits. If you want to see where I’d get such an idea just look at how Bain made its money. Gingrinch and perry didn’t call it vulture capitalism because they are liberals.

You do realize that you, as a consumer, “profit” from “workers being exploited”? The goods that you acquire for 1/10th, 1/8th or even 2/3rds the costs of what they might otherwise be is a net profit to you. Also, those workers in many cases vie desperately to land one of these jobs where they are “exploited.” Your “exploitation” has been the path for millions to avoid starvation in many cases, as they gladly trade non-mechanized subsistence farming and cycles of famine due to drought, flooding, typhoons, etc.

I am aware of the circumstances. They existed here at one time. Then we got unions, the minimum wage, child labor laws, safe work place regulations etc… Yeah all that liberal crap that created a middle class and the wealthiest nation on earth. Unfortunately there are a lot of dumasses who think that the market solved those problems. They didn’t. The people did and we are better off for it. The romneys of the world would like to go back to the jungle. Somehow he made a half a billion dollars in a so-called welfare state. I guess it just wasn’t enough.

He knows shit about college football; in 08 he was campaigning near State College, and referred to PSU as the “Nittally Lions”. I was terrified he would come to Atlanta and refer to us as the “Balrogs” or “Huskies” or some other heinous gaffe.
