Boy, talk about your quote rife with irony:
“I don’t think anybody should have a right to pick and choose in today’s day and age,” [George] O’Leary said…
Or chutzpah. Yeah, that works, too.

Dr. O’Leary should have better things to worry about such as setting up more photo shoots with nude models in the locker room; physically abusing players in his program; or just coming up with new skills for his resume.
Anyway, hasn’t anyone told him? It’s only the players that don’t have a right to pick and choose…coaches, institutions, conferences, bowls, networks…they are all immune to that kind of anti-free market bull.
I just love the use of the word “inaccuracies” in the SI article.
It’s rumored that George, while interviewing for the ND job, was asked what Notre Dame meant to him personally, replied “Yo Mama?”.
Is that the original? For lo these many years I swore that was The Beatles on that number.
A lot of bands were copying the Beatles then.
I would be pissed if the SEC ever let Notre Dame into the conference under such an arrangement. The ACC should be embarrassed. O’Leary is right.
