“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23
Damn that will get you going first thing on a Monday.

Look at the last player on the second chart. I blame Bobo.

Also, Rajion Neal might die before the end of the season. He’s rushed 102 times so far.

Lattimore has over a full game’s worth more carries (24) than Gurley and almost 100 yards less. He has 40 carries (over two game’s worth) more than Marshall with basically the same amount of yards. Notwithstanding the differences in average yards per carry, which is impressive, the more compelling aspect is the workload factor this will have as the season grinds on.

Also, for all of the hype around Bama’s OL and RBs (Yeldon & Lacy), there is a pretty attractive ‘Gurshall’ comparison there as well.

It’s beginning to seem like you can take every year’s preseason meme and flip it on its ear.
Going into this year we were fearful of an inexperienced, thin O-line with no Crowell and two true freshman behind them, and banking on a lights out performance from a highly ranked D with everyone returning.
Now we have a road paving O-line with two stud RBs and some very dicey play from the D.
I blame Grantham.

I have noticed this going back a few yrs. Last yr it was the Special teams with kickers and returners coming back and that was horrible. The yr before was RBs with both King and Ealy returrning and they were almost average but below expectations. A few yrs befroe that was an OLine that returned in tact with several multi yr starts that could block squat.

For the first time in UGA history there is a really good chance to have two 1000 yard rushers in the same season….who saw that coming?
