I wish it were not so, but I am afraid the main blame for this lies with the competition.
This opinion is brought to you by the committee to Kick South Carolina’s Ass, and is subject to change by, say, midnight Saturday night.

    • They’ve played three conference games. That “blame the competition” stuff only goes so far.

To borrow a phrase from someone whose opinion I respect,
        “I stand by my statement.”

Pretty sure we won’t have two backs averaging 10 yards per carry tomorrow night. Let’s see how Bobo does when we might average 4 yards per carry. I fully expect Bobo’s play calling to reflect the “playing not to lose” mentality instead of playing to win. That usually doesn’t work out well against a team with comparable talent. Look at what we’ve done late in the games vs Tenn and Mizzou. Nothing at all versus UT in the 4th and our 17 4th quarter points vs Mizzou were due to a FG off a failed fake punt by Mizzou, an int return for TD by Jones and a fumble caused by Jones giving us the ball on the 4 yard line. Bobo has as much or more to prove in this game as Murray does.

  2. I can just feel Irk’s spirit with this team saying, “GATA”.

I am shocked, shocked to find [Bobo blaming] going on in here!

1st & Gurshall seems to be working a little better than 1st & bomb. Just saying.
(Yes, Bobo gets credit for calling those too…maybe that’s the whole “balance” thing kicking-in.)

And we are going to cross that line tomorrow night in Columbia. AM will get David Greene’s TD record (DGD!) and we will have three plays longer than 20 yards. We are going to get it done.

  6. As BOBO and some other coaches will usually say the lack of execution on players as a reason for dismal performance or loss.

This season it is obvious that UGA players are executing quite well to win. Finally executing his calls. And remember that Murray has the opportunity to change calls as he see.

Hopefully the defense will stop trying to match stats with the O

Ouch! Keep firing those arrows, this defense has to wake up one day. I know all the “issues” (suspensions, playing out of position, rusty, vanilla schemes, etc.) but it begins for real tomorrow evening. No excuses, no regrets. I think the D gets credit for this win, but I honestly don’t care if the offense continues to roll up the points and wins a shootout….just think this one is on the defense. We have shut SOS out in Willy Brice before, but we haven’t blown him/them out…..yet. I think I prefer the latter.

  9. I have thinking about Aaron Murray. I will admit I am one of those looking for so called “signature win”.

But his performance however this season, the SIGNATURE WIN will likely be IN THE FORM routine wins at the SEC Champ and at the BCS Champ. JUST SAYING.

Not saying that he may not need to do a long pass in the last few second for a TD or field goal to win in any of the future games this season.
