Shots fired!

Maybe it’s just me, but if my team is 2-7, I’m kinda hoping it’s the other side who provides bulletin board material.

We may have just gotten the answer to this question.

UPDATE:  Evidently, it’s simply a matter of going out and executing.

“You’ve got to be able to get your hands on him, block him,” Slade said. “He’s a good player, but you can stop him. It’s not that hard. You’ve just got to go out there and make the calls, go out there and execute the calls and know that he’s probably going to be on the side where the tackle will be made…”

Will Muschamp is having a V8 moment now.  If only he’d known!

UPDATE #2:  Jarvis yawns.

“He’s a competitive guy,” Jones said. “He feels like if he can get his hands on me, he’ll be fine. If he wants to come see me, that’s fine. So that’s how I feel.”

Dumbass. Now we will just position all players to open the line like a zipper for ole Jarvis to be a one-man destruction machine for one game. I wonder what the over/under will be for the number of sacks and fumbles he will cause?

Yeah, he is pretty easy to block when he has a hurt groin or is running on a bum ankle.

This is a very, very foolish comment. Makes me really excited about watching the destruction at Jordan-Hare on saturday nigh.

He’s right–it’s not that hard. All you have to do is hold him on every play which is what most teams have been doing.

LOL! Looks like the series will be even after Saturday.

  8. This is even more ridiculous than Missouri calling out the entire SEC and Georgia in particular with the “old man football” bit and saying that that as long as they play their game, nobody in the league could touch them.

I mean, at least Missouri has a conference win to back up the bravado.

These are the masters of the chop block. Who knows what they’ll be drawing up this week

Beware your multi-million dollar knees, Jarvis!

Nick Fairley thrived in that enviroment for a reason. I hope our guys who were there in 2010 still remember all the cheap ass shots, and the approval of the AU coaching staff (still largely intact) and the adoring fans who vigorously cheered for it all day.

Nothing would make me happier on Saturday for us to come out ticked off and put a Vanderbilt style beatdown on them over there in the corn crib. Let them chew on that for the next year.

Holy crap. Even for a Wartiglesman, that is incredibly stupid.

Better wear your church underwear on Saturday, fellas. You don’t want folks to see you get pantsed in your skid marks and holes.

Its not that it is hard, but almost every team just seems to suck at it. If it was as easy as he makes it sound, Jones would have been stonewalled after the second or third game of the year. Grantham moves the man everywhere and allows him to do anything. I can’t wait for this guy to lineup expecting Jarvis to bring it, and then whiff as he gets blown by. Better yet, let Jarvis drop back into coverage and pick them off.

It’s not that hard. Auburn’s offense has been easily handling SEC defenses all year………. right?…………. (crickets)….

All coaches should ban all tweeting… or at least make the player prove he has an IQ over room temparature before he tweets which would ,of course get us back to the original proposition as to all Albarn football players…..no tweeting because no one qualifies. Slade should be reminded of my daughter’s favorite saying,”Stupid should hurt” I’ve got to believe it will.

Have increased my bet on Dawgs laying the 15 points (actually not because of this tweet, Auburn is just a bad team.) I had to throw out the LSU game because it seems an abberation and LSU had no offense at that point of the season. Freshman QB, loss of Lutz, UGA’s recent defensive awakening, UGA’s multitude of offensive weapons, and UGA’s motivation from 2010 and for a trip to Atlanta. Just feels good. I am sure they will come out and try to get something positive out of this season but they have lost their will at this point and Cheetzik is a lame duck coach…and the players know it. Roll them Dawgs!! Get the series back on even ground Saturday.

+1. I’m hoping for a half a hundred. Lay it on the Cheetahs, Dawgs!

      • I hope that a win for the Dawgs will also open up chances at even more recruits.Winning this year against all of our most troublesome teams that recruit against us (except USCe) should help our recruiting tremendously.

The opportunity for a couple of their players seems to be there, according to the recruitniks. I don’t care for any drama queens but we could sure use more OL help and perhaps a receiver. As bad as they have been at LB this year, wouldn’t mind stealing any hope they have for improvement since we can use some help there too making that a win/win. With their QB situation, receivers should be scrambling for new places to land. Add the uncertainty of staff changes and there should be opportunities.
