Name that caption: these aren’t the good ol’ days.

Look who did a little catching up before Saturday night’s game.

Brant Sanderlin/bsanderlin@ajc.com

Somebody haz his serious face on.  Maybe they were talking about Garner.

Your pithy observations are welcomed in the comments.

Mostly they were talking about BVG’s career in the porn industry now that he’s about done in football:

Not a caption, but somebody fill me in…..what was the conflict (alleged?) between VG and Garner?

    Like

    • pantslesspatdye

Others will have more accurate details than I, but, essentially Garner is supposed to not work as hard as everyone else and VG made an ultimatum to Richt that either he goes or VG goes. Then, VG went on a pilgramige to Statesboro amongst a smorgezboard of other places.

Just looking at the body language and facial expressions tells you a lot. VanG looks like he got caught doing something he shouldn’t have been doing and Mark looks disappointed in him. Very revealing photo of that relationship. Not a picture of two equals. Now who is it that wanted Brian as our commander … don’t be shy..speak up! Hot seat-hire the pirate-hire Mullen-hire Pornstache- bunch of wankers if you ask me.

I think he means as DC. But BVG’s years in the pros set him back as a college DC. The game changed so much in 7 years with the proliferation of the spread and the wide open passing games. And look at the talent he inherited at UGA. With tech’s lack of talent on D, it would be ugly.

Not to mention, they would have to do some personnel development to get back to an optimal 4-3 personnel. Of couse, GT was never particularly successful recruiting and developing players for a 3-4, so maybe the transition wouldn’t be so painful after all.

If you saw his interview in which he basically fired himself and the rest of the Aubie staff post-Georgia, VG indicated that Auburn needed bigger and stronger athletes on defense. If he believes Auburn doesn’t have the Jimmies and Joes, he’d likely take an even dimmer view of Tech at this point.

“Brian, you think you’re so smart turning this place into a dumpster fire so quickly. I swear, you and Derek just want to do this the quick and easy way. Kirby understands the plan — slowly bring the program down until a devastating loss to us brings the program to shambles. I told you not to go winless in the SEC. Geez, we won’t even get any BCS love from smoking you guys tonight. And you wonder why I put you on Auburn duty instead of keeping you as DC. I thought about sending you to Columbia after Spurrier retires, but you’ll have them 0-12 before I can blink. You simple-minded man, you still don’t understand. What Brian Bohanan is doing at Tech is beautiful — slow, painful drip of mediocrity. Look at Muschamp. He has his team in the top 10, but lost to us, just like we all planned and talked about. You’re ineptitude is going to get us found out. I’ll see you and Derek in my office at 8 a.m. sharp on Dec. 3. My gosh, you disgust me. And get a haircut for goodness sakes. Oh, and Brian, tell the family ‘hello.'”

Willie at Auburn. They all did their job. The only reason we’re not ranked #1 right now is you. I pray for you.”

That guy deserves everything he gets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back in 07 a good friend of mine (Not gonna name him but,2007 sugar bowl mvp) gave me two tickets to watch his last game at UGA. It started raining as all the UGA parents were standing in line waiting on the doors to open. I was talking to Brandon Coutu’s grandfather when we heard a real obnoxious voice yell, I AM BRIAN VAN GORDER, AND YOU WILL LET ME IN WHEN I SAY SO!!!!!! He was yelling at the little girl behind the door, because he was too good to stand in the rain with the rest of the regular people. He’s an asshole then, and now. He gets what he deserved……

Yeah- its Ezekiel 25-17 Brian, i happen to know it :
“: The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee..! Anyhoo,
    see ya after the game”
