If the Dawgs get the chance to rub out ND, I sincerely hope the 2013 game is not on the same level as that ’81 affair. I rewatch the 80 Sugar Bowl occasionally and it has to be said (implications aside) that it is one display of shaky offensive football. And God bless the Superdome lights and ND KO returners.

Did some numbers: The three QBs average around (or less than) 15 runs per game for their careers. Newton ran it the most; he hit 30 carries one time, versus us. Walker averaged 32 carries per game in 1981.

Regarding the QOTD – Since inception of the SECCG, Alabama has been there 8 times, 3 times since CMR took the reins in 2001. CMR has taken the Dawgs there 5 times. No question this was a dig from SOS, and not a compliment.

Someone in the media needs to do their damn job for a change and ask this moron if he’s taken his concerns to his administration to lobby for an extra conference game to even out the scheduling.
Of course, that would require members of the media a) using their brains and b) having the integrity to ask a tough question. It’s rare that one of those 2 things happens and even rarer when both occur…and much rarer when it’s a member of the sports media.

I was actually pulling for the HBC when they played the Klumpson Tigers,
but did have a few laughs watching is antics. Also, I must confess that I
watched Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon talk about Dawgs weak schedule and they also felt that Bama would beat ND, but Dawgs would not. All I can say is bring’em on cause we are going to GATA!
