I just can’t quit you, baby.

There’s a fine line between whining and fixating and Spurdog’s about to cross it.

Surely he jests.  Are we honestly supposed to believe he hasn’t seen a single goddamned thing written about Georgia’s schedule in the last two weeks alone?

It’s getting close to the point that I want Georgia to win the MNC not for the title itself, but just to see if the OBC’s head really will explode in the offseason.

If you want other 1980 parallels, I believe they said Georgia hadn’t played anyone heading into the bowl game with Notre Dame.

I would never wish an injury on anyone, but I would feel a lot better if Ed Lacy and the Alabama O-Line were caught in a Tuscaloosa whore house with pockets full of booster money this week.

I know Spurrier is a jerk, but then he does also put up quotes like the one here, and the one before the Florida game where it sounds like he’s giving Georgia some respect.

But yeah, I’d love to hear his reaction if we were to somehow win our next two games.

I read someplace he wants GA to win. That surprised me.

I can’t say I’ve heard anyone talking about Alabama’s schedule being weak.

Without knowing the context, I’d say that was what he was talking about, mostly. But you have to give him props for the quote of the day and for whatever he said on Rome’s show that somebody noted here. Just when I start to like Spurrier, he reminds me why I hate him, and vice versa.

mostly for the Rome comment – the QOTD isn’t really giving us much props, just a halfhearted observation.

Regarding the QOTD – Since inception of the SECCG, Alabama has been there 8 times, 3 times since CMR took the reins in 2001. CMR has taken the Dawgs there 5 times. No question this was a dig from SOS, and not a compliment.

If the Dawgs win out, that will give Sakerlina their first ever transitive property MNC. That’s got to be why he’s pulling for us.

  9. Listen Steve does not focus on Georgia except when he is about to play them. He does not read anything. I know he has never read a book. Even when it was required reading, he just got the cliff notes and had some chick write it for him. And what did he give you in return…well lets just say he has a pencil but does not know how to use it.

It was reported today in the Greenville paper that his was happy his 100th win was against Georgia and one other milestone and he was happy his win that made him the winningest coach came against Clemson.

Eh. Everyone is doubting us. Pat Forde says that ND would lose to Bama, but prob. beat us, he also uses references to the first half of our season as to why.

True story….Only 1 team in the current top 5 has beat another team in the current top 5. I give you 4 guesses who that is….

No, Senator we want the title itself; the head explosion thing would just be a delicious bonus….:)

Someone in the media needs to do their damn job for a change and ask this moron if he’s taken his concerns to his administration to lobby for an extra conference game to even out the scheduling.

Of course, that would require members of the media a) using their brains and b) having the integrity to ask a tough question. It’s rare that one of those 2 things happens and even rarer when both occur…and much rarer when it’s a member of the sports media.

We dealt with it in the past, he can too. The man is a great coach, and an annoying as F@&$ whiner. But I do love how much it just chaps his ass.

I take that as him pointing out that all the talk that there’s been on schedules has been on the weakness of UGA’s, and very little talk on Bama’s comparable schedule. Sure I’m tired of whining about scheduling, but I’m not sure that’s what this is, and I’d agree with his sentiment.

Too bad Spurrier ducked Auburn this year. 0-3 versus the Chiz-ster.

I was actually pulling for the HBC when they played the Klumpson Tigers,
but did have a few laughs watching is antics. Also, I must confess that I
watched Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon talk about Dawgs weak schedule and they also felt that Bama would beat ND, but Dawgs would not. All I can say is bring’em on cause we are going to GATA!

I mean, we’ve already rendered the USC, jr. game completely, utterly, unfathomably meaningless.

So, Coach, you can pretty much shove that up your ass.

  21. He’s referring to how no one has complained about ‘Bama’s schedule, not Georgia.

In any event, good luck against ‘Bama. I agree with Spurrier that CMR is a much more likeable coach than the Sabanator, although I fear CMR may not be up to the task of winning this game. I guess I should probably resent that you guys are there instead of us, but I learned this past weekend that there’s little sweeter than whipping your rival’s ass on the arm of your backup QB, so I don’t feel much motivation to be resentful anymore.
