Because they can, son.

Can we extend the bowl season all the way to March madness?

It’s a collegiate sport with an extended preseason (November to February) followed by the actual season in March. Through a complicated and largely secret selection process, the March season decides a champion by “settling it on the court.”

Sadly, nobody really cares about the sport. But that’s OK. Because the same people who ruined that sport would never, ever ruin football. How do I know this? I just do.

Too bad the college football post-season sucks and isn’t more like college basketball’s.

  3. Because the sponsors have to make lots of money and we need to capitalize on doing what we can to win enough money in our bets on the games so we can have Coca Cola money for 2013.

also read somewhere that there was 5x the money laid on the New Mexico Bowl as there was the Butler game.

Basketball before January is pointless, both college and pro. Want to talk about meaningless exhibition games, think basketball more than 2 months before the playoffs start.

That’s hilarious. They are both (Nevada and Az) BBall schools more than CFB. And they outpulled the biggest intrastate school BBall rivalry going?

So much for the dilution theory in CFB.

It’s just because the NHL is on strike/lockout right now.

    Go Hurricanes!

I love bowls. Bring more. What is wrong with more college football games? I don’t care what their records are. When is the next game? Thursday? I’ll be watching for sure.
