Everybody haz a sad.

Just wondering – who should we feel more sorry for this morning, Manti “Lennay Kekua affected my performance in the BCS National Championship Game against Alabama” Te’o or Lane “my last season made Georgia’s 2008 season seem fulfilling by comparison” Kiffin?

I still say we should get a thank you card and send to Kiffin, thanking him and staff for being idiots by releasing Jarvis so he could return home!

Regarding the Lennay and Manti fake love affair, all I can say is that we all should be thankful that they didn’t have fake sex and she didn’t get fake pregnant. That would have been disastrous for the fake child. Now, at least the two of them can go on with their fake lives, her as a fake person and him as a fake football player who managed to fraudulently garner real awards.

I didn’t lie but I lied. And I’m not lying now. Meet my lawyer. And please turn those cameras off.

Do not want to highjack a thread but Florida and Muschamp have started to Sabanize. UF announced that 3 4th year juniors would not be retaining scholarships. Two have graduated but had 1 year of eigibliltiy left and the third got a medical. It didn’t take too many seasons before Foley saw the light.

Hmmm….wonder how many more recruit schollys we could produce by being proactive along those lines? Taking the high road and letting them transfer is a mite slower than saying ,” All 4th year jrs who think they will be here next year, take one step backwards. You four! Stay where you are!”.

We just aren’t as tactful as FU. 🙂

Yep. UGA will soon be the only program in the SEC not to oversign.

The only thing that’s missing from that Kiffikins article is the snark of Gregg Doyel…

Lemons to lemonade: “I’m a victim, and that means you can both feel sorry for me, ignore what you saw January 7, and still sign me to a lucrative endorsement deal. Funny how it all works out that way.”

And to think we came THIS close to having Lane and Manti on the same sideline together. Pure C-list Hollywood entertainment, that would have been.

Everyone should be thanking Te’o for stringing this out, thereby moving downwards in the draft and returning players like Jarvis to their rightful place from where Te’o’s histrionics may have pushed them away.

Sadder still is the silence you hear from the media he influenced. The least they could do is admit that their fake human interest stories exposes them as nothing but gossipers who are incapable of vetting any story (borrowed or not) and admit it influenced their votes for D awards to Te’o and the elevation of ND to an undeserved poll position permitting them to play in the NC. It got the subject diverted from other ND coverups of their player’s morality transgressions that should be tried in a courtroom. A player accused of rape and lieing was joined in the game by two other liars and a national hoaxer. Where is the media on that leftover story?

Yeah, it would be nice if these hacks would tell the other story now and again. At least Manti didn’t rape and shame HIS gf, eh?

Youse guys misunderstand the media….how much more fun has it been watching live and replays of Eddie Lacy bumping Te’o to the ground with a shoulder shrug…and to the Bammer fans among us…Youse guys should thank the media every day for the whole month of January. The Domer-sucking bullshit set things up perfectly for you.

Side note to the Georgia offensive line: Watch the championship game once a week.

On one hand, Te’o is a lying POS. On the other, Kiffin is a lying POS. Not sure where I fall on this one.

  12. Anyone else wince as they saw that UGA’s 2008 season was the 5th worst performance by a preseason #1?

Nope. That’s already welded into our subconscious along with a night game, a uni change and a team standing precariously on the precipice that ND just went over. We were the best only in our minds, not our hearts. And a whole lotta dumb blogging washed over that same precipice for the next three going on four years.

Funny how we have never looked at player loss to the NFL immediately after the Sugar Bowl/Hawaii game. Certainly we missed Howard, but has anyone looked at who the players were that we lost and may not have adjusted the losses to our minds the following season? Voting us #1 after not looking closely at us for the NC (given to LSU) at the end of the previous year was a cruel joke by the CFB media as a reflex “Uh-oh!” on the previous year and team. They knew it wasn’t the same team as to playing strengths.

I know this always gets eye rolls when used as an excuse, but the injuries we had that year were truly unprecedented.
