Stanley Williams describes a visit to South Bend that never took place.
Mark Richt has lost control over something here. I’m not exactly sure what it is, though.

“We remember the Sugar Bowl, I think it my junior year of high school, we let Alabama beat us twice,” Brinson said of a team that also lost to the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship game. “We’re not letting Alabama beat us twice. In the Sugar Bowl in 2018, they… thought they should have been in the playoffs and lost to Texas.” -- AB-H, 12/27/23

The Williams kid belongs at ND from the look of things. Te’o is leaving a void for the guy to fill.

Don’t talk about Lennay that way. She’s not that kind of girl.

Swarbrick says Stanley was the victim of a “very elaborate, very sophisticated hoax with a certain cruelty at its core.”
Stanley “released a statement earlier today indicating he was a victim, and that he genuinely believed he was speaking to a real person.”

Have no idea who he is, or how talented he might be, but I can live without this one. If having an offer from UGA isn’t enough for him and he worships at the Lou Holtz throne, he isn’t my kind of guy. Let the fantasy seekers play in the Great Lakes area, that group of schools have been fantasizing about being “real man” college football players for decades now. ND, Michigan, and tosu deserve players like this, he ain’t gonna fit in Athens.

All this negativity and no one wants the kid now… If he was sincere… then I wholeheartedly agree. However, looks fairly obvious to me that he is merely publicly making fun of ND and the Teo debacle. OK in my book and pretty damn funny.

I’m with you BMac ! I chuckled out loud – Obviously has written ND off his list and based on this kind of sense of humor – will fit right in on Milledge Ave.

OK, OK. I get it now. This was a Te’o/ND putdown.

Sadly, no. He’s apologized and simply said that he was feeling pressure to take the visit, but couldn’t due to some prior obligations. So he lied about it. It’s not on par with stealing iPhones from the locker room, but it’s a head-scratcher.
Second hand, I’ve heard the biggest knock on him is that he’s entitled and amazingly lazy. I haven’t seen him play or practice. His speed is good. His stats are good, at 9.4 ypc. But, he’s playing in the Class A private school division. So, he’s not seeing elite players on defense.

I have seen Stanley practice and play. He is a really really good back and an even nicer kid. No entitlement at all, always the last to leave the practice field and the weight room. His parents are all business about academics and deportment. This is way out of character for him. As far as playing against the big boys, his school plays Commerce High and other public schools each year. He stands out apples vs. apples.

Well, the photo doesn’t lie. This kid can look straight at the camera and run at the same time – he’s another cam newton!

Pretty good at grabbing face masks also.

Maybe he went to Notre Dame just like all their thousands and thousands of (annoying) fans.

It does bother me that he is reportedly AC-DC in character. If all the family good things are true, why would he bother to seriously make up a visit?
Whoops! Gotta go. Typing on a French Riviera Beach isn’t such a hot idea when the women keep asking in French what the “Fing” on my beach towel indicates.
