      Russ, Tunsil’s high school coach basically said “Ole Miss is cheating” in an article at ESPN this afternoon. He did not directly say “ole miss is cheating”. He first talked about how their class was amazing but that there were a lot of questions as to how this was happening. He ackowledged they were a young staff and must be “great recruiters”, but basically said there were still questions

      Then he went on to say that “if someone is going to cheat, you can’t really trust them. They won’t have your best interests in hand. I told him [Tunsil] that with Georgia that wouldn’t be an issue”. His comments were pretty interesting.

    that said, it is pretty amazing that a team that sucked last year is getting these high profile guys in this class. It isnt like Ole Miss is about to be knocking on the door to the SEC West…

    About a month ago, a big time WR from Illinois (Treadwell?) who’d never even visited the Ole Miss campus committed to them, he then had his official visit last weekend and posted a tweet flashing a wad of $100 bills. The tweet was quickly removed. However, has to make you wonder….

    I don’t know. UNC’s chief recruiter had a slush fund provided by an NFL agent and a slew of no-show classes. Lost a few schollies and a bowl game. Miami broke every rule in the book, but now it looks like the NCAA is going to let them go on a technicality.

    I think the message is clear: cheat your butts off.

    There’s also the story by 24/7 that when this first surfaced that CMR visited LT’s home earlier this week to determine if there was any truth to this and several family member were wearing Ole Miss gear and singing Hotty Toddy (pretty classless, if true). It is also being rumored that LT’s girl friend is being offered an academic scholly from Ole Miss. Anyway, with what was thought to be a lock for Tunsil by the good guys, just a week ago, may not come to fruition. 24/7 also commented that Ole Miss could end up with three of the no. 1 ranked players in their positions–Dkemdechie, Tunsil and Treadwell–their analysts said they’ve not been able to determine if that has ever happened before.

      The dawgrun board had a link recently showing the flight plans for UGA’s plane (complete with a pic of the plane!). The plane was in Tallahassee Friday morning. My guess is that our coaches met with Tunsil or someone in his family about signing with UGA. This is a moment when Richt’s character is a tremendous asset, especially with the parents. And parents’ opinions always seem to mean a lot in determining where a recruit goes.

      And his recruiting coordinator is a Kiffin. Lane’s brother. He’s also their best recruiter and the main guy involved in getting all these 5 stars.
