Stay classy, Dawgnation.

Jesus, people, how many times do I have to say this?  It’s one kid in one recruiting class.  It’s not the end of the world.  And it’s sure not big enough to make asses out of yourselves.

In many cases, these were butthurt Miss State fans hoping to put the screws to Freeze and Ole Miss

So 31 of the 85 emails were not released and still being examined for veracity….that’s interesting.

Are they really GA fans or GT fans emailing as GA fans?

The number of crazy people out there is actually really alarming, I have been involved with several governmental and/or institutional processes at the state or local level over the last few years and the real fight is not between Democrats or Republicans or between blacks and whites its between the crazy/.paranoid and those with some capacity for rational thought.

Obviously many of the people that sent those emails are pathetic and need to find a more healthy hobby. But I’ve got to say, the coach quite literally asked for it in this case.

Although I miss Graeme T. terribly, it’s probably a good thing his ‘Ghost’ alternative personality isn’t posting an email response.

  7. This is one of those rare times I disagree with you, Senator. Respectfully, of course, since we’re in your house. Freeze asked for this. “Never bait an opposing fanbase” might be a good submission for a Ten Commandments of coaching in the SEC. Only one coach has done this successfully. And Freeze baited…uh…13 (the “uh” owing to the fact that math is involved). The best approach would have been to not have time for that shit. To the Georgia fans who managed to write tongue-in-cheek emails which eventually became the subject of an FOIA request, I say, Bravo. Wish I had thought of it. As for those card-carrying members of the lunatic fringe who took the opportunity seriously? They provide the anecdotal support for my proposed rule. Besides, if the worst that a person with the requisite psychological instability to be bitterly disappointed with a 12-2 season that saw all main rivals defeated and 5 yards separating us from a BCSCG berth does is fire off conspiratorial emails to a university who asked for it? I think of Harvey Updike and make my peace with it.

People are trying to troll and are failing nothing to see here. Considering how many dawg fans there are this isn’t surprising in the least and honestly I would have expected more. Maybe I just expect people to act worse with the anonymity of the Internet than most people.

I will say this: “I dare you to find anything wrong” is often the first step in a series of events that does not end well for the speaker. Ask Richard Nixon, or Gary Hart, or a host of others.

Stayed away from that bunch at Dawg Vent/AJC where some post who are able to write a couple of these. By the same token, anyone IDing themselves as Dawg fans can easily be GT/FU trolls. The callout by Freeze for proof applies to ID here as well. How is the Commercial Appeal identifying the authors as Dawg fans? By some troll using our name? I would like to know how they verified as “most were from UGA fans”.

Not one email sounds like it came from those who post on “gtp”. Several had the flavor of young teens to me; right out of Mom’s basement in Atl. Now, the 31 left? Could be Dawg fans or Miss St fans with stated proof, couldn’t it?

Either way, the players signed there as they did throughout the SEC. What they do on the field is what is important and I don’t see us losing vs Ole Miss anytime soon because of players, but that isn’t what the fall-de-rall is about is it? It’s about UGA not having a player for our O line that had conjured up sugar plums visions in irrational minds. One player at that position can’t stop a good D line for the sake of the entire team.
