The opposite of a vote of confidence

This is pretty awesome:  last year, Southern Miss sold a home game so it could raise enough money to afford to fire Ellis Johnson.

Now that’s sending a message.

See, there’s just not enough money to pay players. If these failed coaches can’t collect $3 million buy outs round and round the carousel the whole thing falls apart. There won’t be anyone left to send those text messages all day.

Goes 0-12 and gets fired to become one of the highest paid DCs in CFB.
    War Eagle to ya!

Sell a home game to fire your coach? Don’t give Georgia Tech any ideas.

Tech sell a home game? That should bring in enough money to fire, well, no one.

Unless that home game is sold to us, of course.

Why would we pay to get it from Tech? We fill most of the seats at Grant Field/Bobby Dodd Stadium anyway. Besides, Grant Field/Bobby Dodd Stadium is almost a second home field for us. Our record there is better than our record in Athens.
