Mike Bobo reveals game plan for South Carolina.

Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo played in a golf tournament on Thursday morning, and his playing partners kept peppering him with the same question:

“What’s your plan for Clowney? What’s your plan?”

Bobo laughed as he recounted it a few hours later. But he also knows it’s a pretty good question.

Jadeveon Clowney, the man-child expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in next year’s NFL draft, has already played a big part in South Carolina beating Georgia the past couple years. So when the teams meet this year in the second week of the season, Georgia will be trying for a third time to figure it out.

Maybe this time they’ll reach to Hollywood for a solution.

“I think we’re gonna do the ol’ Burt Reynolds-Longest Yard, not block and let (Aaron) Murray throw it,” Bobo said, mimicking his quarterback just wildly chucking it downfield.

Not sure if Seth means “downfield” there in the sense of down the field or down at the field.  Burt’s tosses were definitely more in the latter direction.

By the way, I bet Bobo finds it refreshing that nobody’s asking him how to beat Florida these days.

I believe the linebacker is played by the late Ray Nitschke.

The most revealing thing in that article is was Bobo’s freudian slip that Murray will be the starter. Based on the expertise of the Dawg Vent posters, I surely…SURELY thought there was going to be an open competition for the starting qb job this year.

My plan would be to have our biggest player block the vision of the back judge and then have our next two biggest players hold him and tackle him.

  4. Can someone say roll out?

Man-child’s not exactly the description I would use for Clowney. That’s something reserved more for the Tech graduates still living in their mothers’ basements at 35.

“Clown-ny” : – the next Clown horror movie made and premiering in New York in Dec.

We need three Linemen and a Fullback to step up as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in that game.

Just have Williamson arrest him. Problem solved.

I actually own that football or one used in game. my grandfather was the captain of the guards at the prison in Reidsville when the movie was filmed . he has a speaking role in the movie. He got football autographed to me

We’re going to need more than 7…I know that.

“I think we’re gonna do the ol’ Burt Reynolds-Longest Yard, not block and let (Aaron) Murray throw it,” Bobo said.

But Mike…you’ve tried that twice already. Third time’s a charm?!

I think it’s pretty clear Seth hasn’t seen The Longest Yard and didn’t get the joke.

I’m glad Coach Bobo is so motivated for the Cocks. I’m pretty sure we’re gonna nail Clemson, but Carolina will define our season.

How we play in the Clemson, South Carolina, LSU and Florida games, and if we make it to the SECCG that one, too will define our season.
