Hands down, this is the most Bianchi-ist thing Mike Bianchi has ever written.

Everybody knows Nick Saban is not really the devil.

Urban Meyer is.

He was only half kidding.

    The bravado of sports writers was attacked by Urban during practice. He was from the Orlando Sentinel as well. Seems he reported correctly on a player and Crier didn’t like it. I swear that he makes my skin crawl with the weak chin and blustery threats. Crier’s character has never been in question because he displays none.

    Has anyone heard of Crier’s protege,Timmy, lately? Crier didn’t think enough of him to make sure he was NFL ready. Expect him on OSU’s staff any day as a concession to the harm and pain he caused for Tim and his fans.

    Actually, Saban is just an obsessive, single-minded individual who will not accept anything less than the absolute best. Does he go overboard with some of the things he does in roster management, etc.? Some may say yes but better that than the opposite if you are a fan of his team. Corch, other other hand, is a classless self-promoter who shamelessly uses people (and institutions–just ask FU, Utah and Bowling Green) for his personal aggrandizement and has not one shred of loyalty–a complete douchebag of a human being. I’ll take Saban any day of the week over Corch.

      Perfectly stated. For as much as these guys have been intertwined over the years, they really are very different. Meyer seems to love competition for the sake of personal validation due to his insecurity, whereas Saban seems to genuinely derive personal satisfaction from a job well done. Clearly both cases can lead to single minded focus that leads to titles, but Saban has clearly proven to have the more “durable” model than Meyer.
