Running back beauty is only skin deep.

Maybe I’m just getting overly sensitive in my old age, but I find some curious phrasing in Edward Aschoff’s take on Phil Steele’s running back rankings.  Sure, Georgia’s first and Gurley and Marshall are a formidable duo, but he tempers that with the observation that “(t)here isn’t much behind these two…”  Meanwhile, number two Alabama seems just fine, even though one back is coming off a serious injury and uber-recruit Derrick Henry has his own injury issue to deal with.

I know ‘Bama signed half of the entire national class of backs this year, but it’s not as if Georgia did poorly in that department with Turman and Green.  So what’s with the depth crack?

Ed Aschoff is a UF grad.

What are the chances Jeremy Hill will be in uniform against us?

Just another instance of Aschoff showing his aschoff?

    ‘Bama blinders.

Ed’s take on the Dawgs goes from high to abysmal. One day he writes as if he has researched his material thoroughly; the next (like now), he appears entrenched in shortsighteditis. There certainly is an effort afoot by several pundits to not give the Dawgs their due; instead, there is an effort to even us out versus FU, SC, LSUand others in years where there appears to be a decided difference.

Screw him and the horse he rode in on(who now has a name- “Joy”).

    • There are 27 horses at the FARM. CHUKKAR FARM POLO CLUB. There are no horses named JOY! Cojones, get better weed! You are not as nice as you should be. You old FART!

An example of “dawgrading” at its finest.

Justa another example of a Gator never forgetting where he came from…..the UGA hating continues while masquerading as an “objective” journalist.

Too sensitive Senator, it is an opinion, just like the pre-season polls, so it doesn’t impact a thing. The only one who should care are the NFL scouts/coaches/owners when it comes time to draft someone and pay them, no one else. None of us can play, trade, or draft them so you play what you have. I like our hand.

Given the different styles of runners, and the variety of offenses employed, how can there even be just one “best” runner, or group anyway? I doubt the running back needs at Oregon, UGA, Wisconsin, and GT are the same type cat anyway.

Word from my south florida peeps is that Sony Micheal is the best back to ever come out of florida. ever. The coaches down there dont compare him to anyone, only saying he is the best to ever play in florida.

I dont think that the RB position is going to be too bad for UGA regardless of how many backs Bama signs.
