This is NOT a musical palate cleanser.

I’m pretty sure I don’t need to add any further commentary to a song penned by one Sonny Bama that has the lyric “Nick Saban and Jesus, yeah, that’s our guys.”

But don’t let me stop you.

I just got back from a vacation in Gulf Shores. The beach house we stayed in had a “Bama room” that I had to sleep in. I can’t blame the owners of the house. If I had a beach house, I’d probably have a Georgia room. It was hard to sleep with Nick Saban staring at me all night though.

  4. Senator, not sure it applies but Happy Father’s Day to whomever it does! What does apply is that I read your blog daily and it is the welcomed reprieve from the lifetime between football seasons. Thanks for all you do…

It’s official. It’s Father’s Day. My bride has just given me my card.

“Do you know why we REALLY celebrate Father’s Day?”

“Because SOMEONE couldn’t keep his hands to himself…..I’m just sayin’ ”

Happy Father’s Day GTP’ers! Being a Dad sure is a sweet gig. Thank your bride and hug your kids today.

“A good father is one of the most unsung, unpraised, unnoticed, and yet one of the most valuable assets in our society.”

And your reply is: we also celebrate because someone couldn’t keep her knees together and her feet on the floor . . Just sayin. Now get me a beer woman!
