Disclosed at this week’s UT board of regents meeting: five-year change in ticket revenue from 2010 to a projected 2014 is a negative 18.1 percent.
That new TV money can’t get here fast enough for some folks, I suspect.

And this from a program that has been operating in the red, no discussions of what to do with the $70MM reserve fund in KnoxVegas. And one of their prize BullVol contributors looking at time in the clink for cheating. Fifteen years since an SEC title and counting.
All part of the plan …
Karma’s a mean bitch. Fulmer screws Major for job, UT screws Fulmer and hires the Kiffin, Kiffin screws UT in the dead of night. UT hires SOD and this is a self-inflicted self screwing. Now they are so screwed it should take another 3-4 years to work through it.
3-4 years?! Hell, they are NEVER gonna work through it. UT was always smoke and mirrors anyway. There is no talent base in Tennessee. The Vols depend on recruiting out of state. The Vols have hit the skids at the same time that several of their recruiting rivals have taken off. USCe has bumped UT into at best 4th place in the SEC East and maybe lower. UT used to get players from South Carolina, but the best Cocks are now staying home. UT used to get the best NC players, but not anymore. After seeing what happened to Da’Rick Rogers why would anybody from Georgia want to go there? Their current coach has never built anything–he’s always inherited programs that were already in good shape. He’s not turning around anything in KnoxVegas. 3-4 years and he’s gonna be gone, too. I’m thinking UT is in the bottom half of the SEC East PERMANENTLY!
No, no, no. Can’t reference the article, but the gist was the Cousinfusser athletic association fund was ruined to keep those damn academic types from raiding and pillaging it.
Could be why Adams, a Tennessee native, came to Athens. As the old saying goes, you rob banks because that is where the money is. Not much to steal at UT.
