A reader alerted me to this hot shirt [Ed. note: link has been changed.], no doubt soon to become a collector’s item, that you can buy from the Georgia Tech Bookstore:
At least those of us who graduated from Athens recognize the correct name of our school. Maybe they figure if it says it twice, we’ll be more impressed.
If these were cheaper, I’d suggest Dawg fans buy ’em up to wear to the game at BDS this year. Wouldn’t that be amusing to explain to the Tech fan sitting next to you…
Nerdy fish in a barrel.

Direct from the Office of Redundancy Department, I guess.

If you must purchase something with their logo to take to the game, the bandage tin might be a better choice. It’s cheaper than the shirt and you could hand out bandages to their fans once they finish slashing their wrists after the game.

Absolutely moronic. For people who think they are so damn smart the Techsters sure do a lot of stupid things.

Ease up there, Mayor.
At least they correctly spelled all those words…

True*, however, only two of three standard atomic weights are accurate (Germanium is 72.63 not 72.61)**. Techsters do get + or – 1 kudo for having correct periodic table numbers though

It was a low 72.63 so they rounded down to 72.61. You really have no background in Tech Chemistry, do you? They rounded up on Indium (114.818 rounded to 114.82) which qualifies Ge in balancing your equation at Tech.

Tech athletes have no background in Tech chemistry either. Don’t they all take it at Georgia Perimeter?

I wonder if Lou Holtz designed that shirt. As spoken with loose dentures.. “Listen, the Georgia Tech Institute of Techology and the University of Auburn University….”

It’s still better than those stupid honeycomb uniforms they wear sometimes.

the only thing that could make that shirt better? “Georgia Tech UNIVERSITY Institute of Technology.” Marbury representin’, nerds!

A little off topic here, but whenever I hear about Tech doing something to bolster the state of their football program it evokes the same sentiments as when I see a fat guy riding a bike. I just want to say, “Good for you, man. Good for you.”………And back to work I go.

It’s just so damn geeky and stupid even without the mistake on it.
I mean, what would someone sporting such a shirt tell you if you asked him about it?
“It’s from the periodic table, see? Get it? Neh-he, neh-he, neh-he …”
Where do you start?

this demonstrates the kind of crisp attention to detail that makes me wonder if having an actual nuclear reactor on their campus was really a good idea. I think there may have been a couple of Georgia Tech Institute of Technology grads manning the control panel at Chernobyl, weren’t there?
