The sound closing a barn door makes after the horse is gone.

Not that the O’Bannon lawyers care particularly.

And here’s the punchline.

Man, the NCAA is something else.

  1. and the hits just keep on coming.

There should be a special contest in the Fabris Pool with over/under on Emmert’s tenure. I’m going with 60 days max.

  2. Let’s make it interesting….say a little incentive…like tickets in the Red Seats for the SC Game.

Got no revenue from the site? Handling it as a pass-through for schools? Sounds like concerted action …

    What am I missing?

The O’Bannon lawsuit is bad PR for the NCAA, but where exactly are they 3 steps over the line with respect to the law? Lots of things that are ridiculously unfair are legal under the law. Those situations can be very effective at changing existing law – but what existing law are they breaking sufficient to reach the damages stage of the case?

Clearly, I know just enough law to be very dangerous. And I am looking forward to seeing what sort of contortionist nonsense comes next in the evolution of big-time college athletics.

  5. Oh, the impugning of NCAA credibility, the perfidy and ineptness of his Emertness, a veritable supercilious emperor losing his new clothes before our very eyes.

  6. Lrgk9…you so smart. Love it! 🙂

Emmert is starting to make Baghdad Bob look like Cincinnatus.

I doubt that them selling jerseys on their website “crushes” them in court.
