What does it say that a clip of Todd Gurley’s top ten plays last season has two runs against Alabama?
I’d put that Vandy run at the top of the list, but that’s just quibbling, I guess.

I’m most impressed with the run against UT, the way he was able to slow down and speed up, to make sure he made it to the endzone. So many players never gain that type of patience and faith; that he had it as a true freshman is amazing. I think that’s one reason I like Gurley so much–he’s not just good, he’s smart.

I’d vote for the Tennessee run, too. Pleased to see the kickoff return made it on the list, though.

The Vandy run was definitely #1 on my list. That stiff-arm he puts on the guy as he’s trying to regain his balance after shedding another tackler was just ridiculous. It was Herschel-esque.

I was at that game and my jaw dropped at that stiff arm. Completely stole that Vandy kid’s manhood.

I’m with you guys… the Vandy run was amazing. Hell it looked like another ridiculous freshman that did something similar to Vandy, only difference was he was going the other direction lol…

The Vandy run was absurd, but his TD against Florida showed some amazing feet/vision.

Yep. This one.
Paused at the line, was patient, waited for a hole, shifted, hit it – touchdown

i agree that the best on here in my opinion, the rest just showed power and/or speed

I just can’t help but think about how much stronger and smarter he got as the season wore on. There really is no limit to how good he can be. We would have the best rushing attack in the SEC even without Marshall.

Wasn’t the TD return his first touch?

That’s what I was thinking. I can’t argue with the logic of putting it #1 since it was the first time he ever even touched a ball in a UGA uniform, that adds something to it. Quite the impressive debut!

I coulda scored through the hole opened on the Nebraska play. It’s a highlight all right, for the blockers.

His patience and vision are simply remarkable. Can’t wait to watch him run over Clemson in a couple weeks!

Jeebus, that kid can run.

That warms the cockles of the heart. Maybe even the subcockles.

But it leaves the Gamecockles cold.

I agree it was Vandy. But I’m hoping he has a run against Clemson or Carolina that makes it a distant memory.

I hope we see a Keith Marshall’s top 10. I love watching him take it up into another gear.

I think what makes him so special, is the variety of the runs in the top ten list. With Bama is was quick feet, balance, and POWER. with UF it was patience and agility, with Tennesee it was Patience, Speed, and Intelligence…..you just don’t see all of those traits in one back that often…almost certainly not as a freshman.

What about his 4th quarter run in the SEC Title game to take back the lead (end of the embedded video)? Broke a couple tackles and drug a third tackler into the endzone.

Vandy run was #1, and Tenn was good, but I LOVED the goal line push against Alabama.

His run against auburn.. where he meets the nickel back immediately after he gets beyond their dline… Watch that defender bounce off of him and skid across the field. Love that one.

The best run was the TD run against Bama because: (1) it was against the best D line in the country; (2) in the SECCG; and (3) initial contact was made at the LOS but he dragged the defenders into the end zone with him. Best 3 1/2 yard run I ever saw.
