Brent Venables’ Todd Gurley imagery

Clemson’s defensive coordinator pays Todd Gurley some, um, interestingly phrased praise:

“Gurley reminds you a little bit of Adrian Peterson in certain ways, with his strength and his physicality,” Venables said. “He’s a big, violent runner who’s going to run through trash. They do a good job of making your secondary support in the run game, which provides problems for about everybody.”  [Emphasis added.]

So, if Gurley runs for 100+ Saturday night, should we name him the Garbage Man?  Or just say that he took out the trash?

You know, this is what happens when you don’t want to be called Gurshall anymore.

Maybe he meant trash tackling? Or maybe me meant Clemson’s defense is trash?

I wish porsche made a bulldozer.

  3. Todd should be called “Surely Gurley”. Cause you know he is surely gonna take out all the trash.

  4. Someone please photoshop Gurley and Marshall in this picture:

I think he’s saying his running style is the opposite of Richard Samuel’s (bless his heart). I always felt like a stuffed animal lying on the ground would cause Richard to trip up.

I do like seeing the AP comparison. I’ve always thought about that (along with many other message boarders).

I’m talking about drawing a line in the sand, Dude. Across this line you do not…..Also, Dude, Garbage man is not the preferred nomenclature. Sanitation Engineer, please.

Actually, I think the Garbage Man in Britan is called the Dustman, which is kind of cool.

Not to be confused with Sanitary Engineer. One of the guys in the ACC Planning Department is real touchy about that.

It’s only Wednesday and I’m already in pre-game nerves mode. By 7pm on Saturday I’m going to be a mess! We CAN NOT lose to start the season.

Todd will be tossing & slinging garbage out from his path all night I do believe. And I have to believe we’ll see many displays of rotten secondary tackling out of the CU DBs.
