Ouch! Coach says I’m hurt!

Leonard Floyd isn’t going to win any acting awards.

At least he indicated he wanted to go out first.

UPDATE:  “He got hit in his privates real hard,” Richt said.  Yes, he did.

As much as I dislike flopping in general, I totally understand why defensive players do it and are going to do it. It’s their only recourse, really.

    We don’t even flop fundamentally.

  4. yep. and players get assaulted in the pile, too. it’s just part of the game. if clemson fans are whining about this they don’t deserve to revel in their victory.

Nice. Now we’re coming up with ways to rationalize cheating.

My God! He’s only a freshman. He’ll get bettah by just watching Heat tapes. Speaking of utes, Brent was so excited last night when Wooten the Ballcarrier caught a ball. Brent exclaimed, “He’s only a freshman!” or some other such shit that made it clear Brent was clueless as usual because Rantavious with a full man-sized beard (Rant started shaving during his first year here) looks almost as old as Brent.

The other disappointing thing about the broadcast was that a special effects technician put saltpeter in Brent’s pre-game porridge and, as an emergency back-up, hid his blue pill stash four hours before kickoff. With as excited as Brent was about the Clemson player buses tooling around the stadium before debussing, no one could tell. Some feared they were going to have to go Plan B by sending in the Animal Planet large animal vet who’s on probation for negligence or incompetence or both to strap it down to Brent’s good quad. This season Herbie’s agent made it absolutely clear that Herbie is not going to do the tie-down anymore. Ron Franklin thinks this is bullshit

“Youts” –not the Indian tribe, no sir. Brent actually referred to Houston as a “youngster” too.

The People of the Colorado Plateau, both of them, are bummed. To Brent, anyone younger than Jimmy the Greek is a “youngster.” In fact, Brent has been led to believe that Herbie is the love grandchild from one one of the many press box baby mamas that Brent has in sports arenas across this great nation of ours

He also referred to UGA as “Atlanta” at least once.

In his defense, I believe he was on the ground in actual pain before the tape was rolling. He got up to get off the field and the coaches/Swann told him to get down. Not making excuses. It is what it is. But it’s convenient that the tape started rolling after he got up. Although, I could be mis-remembering and he wasn’t on the ground at all.

The guy who looked hurt to me was CMR. Has a very noticeable llimp from his hip surgery.
Malcolm Mitchell, you will be missed this season. Get your surgery over, get rehabbed, and get going again. You are college football, and a great Vadlosta Wildcat.

We can forget about it this year. It’s pretty much over. South Carolina will beat us and watch North Texas upset and another loss to LSU. It’s going to get ugly.

Back in the day, that would earn you a personal foul for a leg whip.

Jenkins did something very similar except Ray Drew told him to stay down. It’s not against the rules, so why not do it?

Am I missing something? The play where he got hit in the nuts looks like a different play than the one where we went down.

  18. If this is the only defense against the hurry-up spread, I don’t have a problem with it. The player has to leave the field for a play for medical attention. What is ridiculous are the 80,000 doctors in the stands who can tell a player is faking an injury from 200 yards away and boo heartily as he’s being attended to. How would you react if that was your kid on the ground?

Fve years ago, guys had time to limp and hobble off the field, and for a sub to come on – with the offenses running plays so quickly now, there’s really no other option than to go/stay down so a sub can come on.

It’s obvious he was kicked the play before (a leg whip could have been called ,intentional or not) and he played the next play while hurting before he went down and fans started booing. Totel lack of class!
