So you are saying there is a chance?

South Carolina is nowhere as scary as Clemson on offense. On the other hand, the Gamecocks have a very good defense. It’s going to be strength against strength. Georgia has it’s weaknesses and so does SC….The game will again come down to penalties and turnovers.

    Spurrier is 15-5 versus Georgia.
Since 2000, when both teams are ranked, USCe is 3-1 versus Georgia

Doomed … doomed I tell you. The ‘Cocks probably even have a great long snapper. I just hope Clowney doesn’t actually kill Murray.

Yeah, they do have the best long snappah in the East…I hope everybody thinks Clempson’s offense was better after the game…

This morning I stood in front of a line of hats….one looked at me and winked…Hope is a dangerous thing.

sorry man, I am a lifelong Georgia fan, the comment about hope that resonates with me is Red’s line earlier in the movie.

“Hope” (like being a Georgia fan) is a dangerous thing, it can make a grown man crazy. The essence of being a college football fan in one Stephen King line. If I had matriculated in Tuscaloosa I might agree with Andy’s view…but I didn’t.

The preseason enthusiasm seems to be going in the opposite direction to preseason pessisism. We all knew Georgia had the opportunity to lose at Clemson…but we didn’t know the loss would look so….awkward…
But if Georgia beats SC and LSU…still very doable with this offfense…then we will all be back on cloud nine..This game against South Carolina will either be the beginning of something really special for the either the Bulldogs or South Carolina…It’s all at stake here on Saturday.

  6. What fresh hell is this?

I believe the oddsmakers line is telling. SC will be the public play here.

I hope people don’t come to the game with this attitude. It won’t create the stadium atmosphere we need. Ask our team about hostile stadiums, we need to be just as hostile.

    • You’ll appreciate this quote from AM’s mom:

“Woke up feisty and looking forward to traveling to Athens on Sat. If you know fans who act more like they’re at a tennis match or watching a round of golf please buy their ticket and give it to someone on Adderall who’s willing not to take it on Sat. If you don’t have the stamina to stand on your feet & yell for several hours please give your ticket to someone who can. If you let down after the 1st sign of adversity, please sell your ticket. I’m tired of other fans out yelling and out lasting us. We MUST be a factor Saturday! That is all.”

How thick does your skin have to be to have a kid playing QB at a major college? I can’t even imagine it.

        • It is so difficult to have a son playing any position these days. Mother’s, (and I am speaking mainly for myself) are so protective of their Children. When you see your son on the field knocked out and not moving…well let’s just say it takes it’s toll on us.

Given the current mood of some of the Georgia people I would advise caution on the Adderall.

          I don’t see the problem –

ADDERALL XR® (mixed salts of a single-entity amphetamine product) dextroamphetamine sulfate, dextroamphetamine saccharate, amphetamine aspartate monohydrate, amphetamine sulfate capsules, CII

+1. I hope fans take her words to heart. If you aren’t fully behind this team watch it at home. It is bad enough when opposing fans boo our team and coaches but it is heartbreaking when our fans do it. Fans like that are energy vampires. I don’t see that elsewhere.

She wishes it would be loud, I’m thinking it is going to be more like a wake. She should worry more about her son’s health with that bunch of matadors he has as an OL. At least Andrews had the good sense to grab somebody as they blew by him.

Shame on us if it is like a wake. After a 3 point loss if fans give up they aren’t really fans.

Never in a million years did I think a 3-point loss on the road to a top 10 team with a prolific offense while we started a bunch of freshmen on defense who were also injured for most of practice, lost our best receiver in the game, lost our star running back for much of the game, made crucial (and very unlucky) errors and yet still could have won, would have made people start downing the team and calling for our coaches heads again. Grow up. Beat South Carolina.

Agree 100% We say we support the team, etc… well the players put in the sweta, the hurt, the pain to be good. All we have to do as fans is show up, scream our heads off for 3 hours (except when we are on offense) -then we will be doing our part to help the Dawgs.

I was at the Clemson game a few rows behind the GA bench at the 40 yard line. Surrounded by 40-50 year old sober season ticket holders who were the loudest and most classless fans I’ve ever been around.

Were yelling at players that they hoped they’d get injured is just some of it. For example…one fan yelled at Gurley on the bike saying he hope his leg was broke. Another guy was flicking our bench and me off with both hands the whole game. It was an insane home crowd noise advantatge for Clemson. I just remember thinking I wish our fans were as loud. But AM’s mom is right, the tennis match attitude by some of UGA season ticket holders is pathetic.
