Three quick hits you may find interesting:
- Georgia is sixth in the country in total offense.
- The seven rushing yards Georgia gave up in the North Texas game is tied for the fewest allowed in a D-1 game this season.
- Marty is keeping an eye on the rate that personal foul penalties are being called. They’re down this season. Could that be the result of the new targeting rules?
Urban Meyer no longer have to suffer from indignity of deciding the right punishment for an offending player, half of a quarter or full quarter (LOL). Somebody will do it for him.

Should we be worried that Mizzou is 7th in total offense?!

QUESTION..off the subjects mentioned, but I need to know…
Has anyone heard a rumor that M. Bennet hit the N.Texas ballboy with an elbow on purpose in the game? Did any of you see this? Some Tech Nerds are spreading this rumor. If it happened was it just an accidental collision?

So….if he did, then he got away with it , right….I like it, you ain’t safe even on the sidelines…Go Mr. Bennett, GATA.

he’s wearing a red shirt so he might be from UGA. either way, it’s just physics–bigger object > smaller object.

I saw that and thought the ball kid needs to get out of the players way. MB didn’t even see the kid who actually looked like a college student, not a kid. It was an accident…nothing intentional at all.

UGA is on offense.. which means he is certainly the UGA ball boy. Just like the kid with the slicked back hair on the UGA sideline was the ball boy when NT was pretending to run the ball.

He is a college student because he’s a UGA student manager. Each team has 2 ball boys on each sideline. He’s running to give the ball to the ref because the ball in play went out of bounds and never saw bennett. same for bennett, he never saw the kid. It’s football. It’s a sideline. It happens.
It’s funny that tech fans would latch on to that without actually understanding it. they’re a sad bunch.

“Everybody is missing tackles this year…it’s the new targeting rules, it is taking a while to teach these kids how to tackle within the rules.”
Any defensive coordinator in the country, except Kirby Smart who is not allowed to talk to the media.

Explaination in order…Brother in law is a huge Nerd fan who posted on facebook (this morn) that MB was guilty of some horrible offense. The way he worded it sounded very serious. Of course, all the Tech fans “liked” the anti-UGA post. I posted that they all are guilty of a classless hit on MB. After seeing the actual viedo, they all dissappeared without comment. Nerds!

I just hope we’re still 6th or better after this weeks game. If we survive this opening schedule and still have a top 10 (or even top 5) Offense, that’s saying something.

Of course the Senator completely ignores the stat that definitively PROVES the fact that Aaron Murray isn’t even the best QB on HIS OWN TEAM! Which makes sense because he’s BOBO’S BOY!!!!. Rantavious Wooten Passer Rating of 452!!!!. Four. Fifty. TWO!!!!

If Mason were the QB on that play, Wooten would have thrown for a TD. 😉

Does total offense = total yards?
The chart shows the dogs 6th in y/p/g, but 34th in total yards.
(caveat – I’m easily confused)

Some schools have played 3 games, some 4. That’s why there’s such a discrepancy.

Ah-ha.
That makes them fifth in total yards among teams with three games.

Meanwhile, even against scrubs, yikes at Baylor’s ypp. Also, who would have thought through 3 games we’d have run more plays on offense than Oregon?
