We just stepped on his face with a hobnail boot.

Nit pick and grumble all you like about defensive shortcomings, special teams brain farts, Bobo’s playcalling… whatever.  This season is rapidly shaping up as my favorite under Richt, if for no reason other than this one.

It’s killing him; it really is.

And the Dawgs provide a forum for what SOS craves — POINTS both from our O and against our D. My gut tells me that UGa will need Spurrier’s assistance later with a timely victory over Florida because I can’t abide a defense this scatterbrained bringing home an undefeated league season.

Good fortune team my ass. Teams with good fortune don’t have more casualties than Omaha Beach in a single game.

Wenn Spurrier mit einer Spur des Neids spricht, ist es unserer Schadenfreude.

With our defense every game on the schedule is losable. But even with the injuries, assuming we get gurley back, our offense makes every game winnable too. I just hope we can fight thru whenever the offense has its inevitable off day

Awesome. We may loose next Sat or any other, but at least we had the good fortune of ramming the ball down his throat this yr on that final drive.

Hey Spurrier, go home, you’re drunk. No really, you ARE drunk.

My father-in-law, a Tech fan, has complained for years that Georgia has “always had a golden horseshoe up their ass.” I felt like we’d lost that over the past few years; that Ole Lady Luck had turned her back on us. I’m getting that old feeling back now, and it sure is good to see her. Welcome back, sweet thing!

Injuries aside, of course … that’s damned bad luck. Yin-yang kinda thing, maybe?

Right. If we had a full team playing there’s no way we’d have needed the fumble. Gurley by himself would have iced that game in the first half.

I thought the same thing against LSU. TG was hittin’ for 9+ yards a pop when he went down.

However, that freshman tail looked pretty special yesterday. He won the game, in my mind.

JJ Green seems to this admittedly amateur eye just about as quick as Marshall, preseason sprint races notwithstanding. And he’ll dip his helmet in there and dole out some contact. I likes.

The Yankees have always been lucky through decades, as have the Celtics. So were the Steelers in the 70s. The Patriots of the 2000s. It is crazy how “luck” always seems to find the better teams. Strange.

We lost the golden horseshoe in the 85 Bama game.

Yeah, I guess noone ever told Spurdog that you make your own luck. I want to win a championship this year, not just because i want us to have one, but also because Steve’s head may explode.

Recruiting in the state of Georgia. Hard to understand why players want to leave the state and not go to UGA. Georgia has a solid staff. The offensive scheme it very good. And the defense everybody complains about, except the NFL…like LSU…they want them because they are coached. This is a very tough cong=ference with some very good coaches and QBs.

A progam with future issues recruiting? Tech. A lot like UT…very experienced O line…many seniors. But Tech runs a system where it is difficult to come from behind the score board or the chains. Even on 3rd conversion rate, Dawgs system gives you a chance to do that. Plus teams thhat generate 20+ yds per play have a big chance of scoring and winning.

Georgia can stretch the field laterally, but with these receivers lost it will be much more difficult. UT did not put 8 in the box [conventional term] but they play their LBs close and why they could penetrate shut down lateral plays behind the line from time to time. Plus went to more man coverage later in game. Reason I think Bob was very good. What will Bobo do balance of SEC schedule. Will be very interesting what he does with line [TE’s, fullback packages] and making a D play deep [vertical with more players].
