We can make it, baby, me and you.

Will Muschamp assures Gator Nation that when it comes to hiring his third offensive coordinator in four years, he can change.

UPDATE:  Alligator Army runs down a list of candidates.  Mike Mularkey sounds like a match made in heaven, doesn’t he?  But I think I’d have the most fun with Junior or SOD.  Do it, Boom!

Last week Mularkey, maybe. I don’t know about this week though. Borgess is free however…

Off of their list I think there is only 1 choice. Bobby Petrino. Who else is more perfect for FU than Mr. Petrino.

I don’t want Petrino anywhere near there. Dude knows offense. And motorcycles. And interns.

Can’t believe Gruden isn’t on the list.

Neil Calloway in some shape or form (either as OC or OL coach) sounds reasonable.

Can anyone explain this statement to me?
“given the program’s deep pockets, enticing situation ….and great risk-reward proposition.”

How is walking into a hostile situation where there is basically nothing the HC can do to keep his job save win a SEC Championship, which basically means you probably only have 1 year at the healm an ‘enticing’ situation?

Reminds me of the Grantham job search except that Richt had a much, much longer leash than Boom.

It seems to me that UF needs a good OC and QB coach. A man that can put enough points on the board so that D the Gators have can pin their ears back and create turnovers. One name popped out at me right away, Mike Bobo. A long time friend of Will’s, a good recruiter that knows the Southeast, a a damn sight better person than Kiffin or Patrino. It will never happen, I think Mike is happy in Athens and I think the UF fan base would go ape. Will doesn’t need to piss off the fans any more if he wants to keep his head. Bobo would be the smart choice, but who said Gator fans were smart?

Umm. The Dawgnation would go ape over that move. Why would you want that?

Half the Dawgnation wants Bobo gone, or at least they are dumb enough to think they do. I want Bobo where he is, but I am not a member of the fire everybody crowd. So, if I am Mike and I know I can coach up some QBs and get UF’s ppg into the 25 to 35 range I have a bowl team. Looks good on my record and maybe I get a HC job. Mike should not take the job without a 1 Mil per for three years and a buck and a half buyout.

A horizontal move into a situation where the head coach will be gone next year? He’s Mike Bobo, not Brian VanGorder.

+1. It’s almost like the awesome decision that Brent Pease and his agent made in turning down an offer from Saban and accepting one from Boom

Why not pick from the ACC…Clemson, FSU, and now Duke.
Bama…not man enough to beat Auburn.
Auburn rips a page out of LSU’s book because Smart and Saban have not seen it. Now they have.
Hope the Bull Gators have a big checking account for an OC. Agent will have a field day with Foley and company. First question, if the new OC produces does he become HC.

    Absolutely no one ever.

They have decent academics, just zero football smarts. What do you expect with their accents while wearing wife beaters, jorts and sporting the mullet? As Sir Charles says: Turrible!

Mularkey would be a hilarious hire. His tenure as Falcons OC was brutal. You want to talk about stubborn and unimaginative? He and Boom would be a perfect match if he continues to insist on playing “smash mouth” football.

The Georgia Southern HC wil be the next choice. No uf fan will be able to claim that his offense isn’t better than the current offense. A run based ball control offense for Muschomps.

I like the way you think Cuz, a CPJ mind with an O’fer record against UGA. Perfect for the Gators, or maybe Coach Fish Fry would be a good fit.
