Final regular season Coaches Poll: I’m Number Two!

It’s always fun to pour though this.  FSU is a unanimous number one.  What may not be noticed is that Auburn was close to being a unanimous number two pick, with only two coaches voting otherwise – in this case, Michigan State.  The two?  Dana Holgorsen… and Mark Dantonio.

Also, don’t miss where Mike Gundy ranked his team and Oklahoma.

This is probably the first weekend that a majority of the coaches have even watched the teams involved.

And we wait for the first ranking from The Committee…what a treat that will be.

Bret Bielema put Ohio State at #12.

Urban Meyer did not include Georgia in his top-25.

And the coach who voted Georgia highest: Jeff Quinn (Buffalo).

    I love this stuff.

I’m sure Corch’s omission wasn’t intentional, probably too much pizza grease on his fingers.

A whole bunch of coaches left us off completely–basically those we recruit against and those that have a grudge from past whippings (June Jones, for example). They need to just shut this entire poll down. It’s being used by some coaches to advance agendas they have.

As a side note, looking like Georgia-Duke in Chick Fil A. Even though it is a home game, not remotely interested in this. Guess that is what you get when you lose 4.

Just swell. If there’s one thing David Cutcliffe does well, it’s shred Georgia defenses.

Neither of his QBs looked all that good at passing though, and the D looks like a great practice squad for Mason and Co. to run up the score.

Screwed by powers to-be in Athens and Birmingham. We play the Huskers again. How damn boring is that. Nobody in Athens has any power or balls. Just a bunch of damn nannies. All these blog sites love stats. Well, they are going to be shocked to see the Dawgs above Missouri and Auburn in most of those stats.

Dawgs lead Missouri and Auburn in total defense and rushing defense. Where is all the freaking damn belly-aching about his young, injury riddled defense that played some solid teams. Well, next year we play Auburn and GT at home. We in hell did that happen last. Probably when Vince was a frosh at Auburn.

Here is my early New Year’s wish. Hey, AD about getting your sorry damn ass in gear and do something for the football program. First, we are tired of the damn one-sided freaking chicken shit officials we have to play plus the teams on the road all the freaking damn time. Second Dawgs do not play a team unless there stadium holds 85,000.

For a man who claims to deal in a world of “absolutes” (see fish wrapper story last week), I wonder why GM puts up with the absolute screwing we keep getting from Birmingham…

Same bowl team as last year in a stadium we’ve already played in?

    Continuity, for the win!

Whether its screwing us out of the title game, a BCS bowl, or just breaking it off in us by giving us the least motivating team possible in the event we get an automatic bid (see Hawaii, West Virginia, or a 7-5 ACC champ, of simply the coup’d’grace of matching us against an opponent who has a thousand times more to gain out of a bowl win than we do, the Murphy’s law of bowl game bids rears its head again: If Georgia can be screwed they will be screwed.

This is absolute, positve, swear in court proof that human polls cannot be trusted and any human poll influence it who gets into the playoffs, NC game, etc. will always be skewed….there ARE NO unbiased college football followers.
James Franklin and Da-Boy Swiney…You’ve both got to come to Athens this year. You’re going to lose very, very, very badly.

I made the mistake of saying “This is my church, this is where I heal my hurts” before the Clemson game. Obvious blasphemy. If anything, this season has renewed my faith in Mark Richt’s.

Maybe the selection “Powers” had us on their mind when they put UGA in Jax….It’s an easy drive…sometimes the weather is nice on Jan. 1..seafood and golf will be available on SSI and other nearby places…Should be a nice crowd…Lot’s of red……and UF fans can attend and pull for the Huskers….
….Me….I’ll probably sit on my couch in the mancave and pig out while admiring the talented, young Dawg team and dreaming of the ass beating that James Franklin’s going to recieve between the hedges next fall.
