“It’s almost like I didn’t get to say goodbye.”

From Aaron Murray’s presser today:

Murray (c)laims he still very much part of the Bulldogs’ team. He plans to be on the sideline with the team for the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl on New Year’s Day in Jacksonville and actually plans on sitting in on the quarterback meetings and helping game plan for Nebraska “as much as Coach Bobo will let me.”

He plans on being ready for Georgia’s Pro Day in April.  I wouldn’t put it past him.

What a crappy way for such a great career to end. I wish the he would have at least had the chance to torch the Nerds one last time.

“Coach Murray” does have a ring to it. Maybe he’ll replace Bobo when Bobo replaces CMR.

  7. Damn Good Dawg! I think he will recover faster than most people think. If you recall he broke his leg his senior year of high school and returned to lead his team to a state championship. Hope to see him on sundays or on the sidelines as a coach.

He had a labrum tear in his right shoulder his sophomore year and was unbelievable in summer 7 on 7’s and never looked back…the boy is a quick healer and rehab…I will say that I never thought that he’d make it back following the broken leg, but he never let it atrophy and kept working out and the rest as they say is history…amazing kid…

  8. Murray is everything good about collegiate athletics. He’s my favorite Dawg of all time. Sucks his career went like it did, but such is life.

Just a great young man and so glad to have him as a Dawg! He’ll be successful at whatever he chooses to do. Maybe he can be the OC for HC Bobo’s in 10 years.

  11. All you people cheering Aaron Murray on are part of the problem! Why are you so complacent with mediocrity! Do you not remember his freshman year! And now you say he’s a DGD?!? Enjoy your perpetual Fubu Bowls.

Every player we have should be up to Hershel’s standards, and if we accept anything less then we’re just going to be mired in loserville forever. And fire Bobo while you’re at it.

I’m going to go root for a team that knows how to run an AD, and who wins championships on the regular. Go Gata!

ha right. I’ve never, at any point in time, said anything negative about a particular player here or elsewhere.

Some of you just can’t handle the fact that people view things differently from you and to compensate you have to pretend like we make ridiculous statements so that you can feel better. After all, it’s easy to ignore someone that says something like what’s above, isn’t it? It’s much more difficult when that person slaps you across the face with cold hard facts and logical arguments.

Troll on, though. I appreciate that you let me live rent free in your head. I haven’t spent a second thinking about you unless I’m reading one of your comments 😉

Oh, and I believe bluto nukes people for sock puppetry, so we’re definitely not all the same people. Believe it if it helps you sleep at night though, and continue your disrespectful call outs and demeanor. It adds SO MUCH to the blog 😉

I would hate a place where people of different view points can have logical, respectful debates. I would prefer if everyone just got butt hurt anytime someone disagreed with them.

A team with 85 Herschels? Good luck with that! I have been watching CFB and going to games for over 50 years and have seen only one. Guys like Herschel and Bo Jackson come one to the box and maybe once a decade if you are lucky.

      • You make me sick with your apologist attitude. If Blake Sailors worked harder and had an indoor practice facility CMR would have 4 rings by now with him at running back and safety. But people like you just accept mediocrity and let him be slow and weak. I’d have a whole team of #34’s out there with a Thomas Davis or two thrown in for good measure. Fact.

In fact, if I was king, Ben Jones woulda played QB and snapped the ball to himself, then opted to run or pass. I’d call it the Big Mac option, and I’d put McGarrity in uga’s cage on the sideline and throw dog treats at him. But for people like you that would totally happen.

Just where do you find a whole team of Walkers or an extra Thomas Davis or two? I am done with you because you cannot make allowance for fools in your calculations. Good night and good luck, you will surely need some luck.

If we had a real recruiting staff we would find those kids. All two stars that everyone else missed and then coach em up. Good character kids too. But nobody demands such things so our lazy coaches just recruit the stupid four and five star kids and not the diamond in the rough Herschals that are so obviously out there but being missed.

    Dear Aaron,

You may not care about this stuff, but a lot of us do…for you.

When Pat Sullivan won the Heisman as a senior at Auburn, he had never won a conference championship and most of the big games he played in, including Bama the week after the trophy announcement.

It is, frankly, an incomprehensible blunder that you were not promoted for the award. Somebody ought to find something else to do, today.

To us, your Dawg family, you represent all that is good and righteous about college football. You have led our team with class and dignity, unlike some of the participants in the Heisman conversation.

And what is more, Aaron, you are a man, my son.

Best to ya, thanks and hope you play on Sunday if that’s what you want.

You will always be welcome at our house.

    Scorp.
